Juz back from suntec, see a doc. Told him wat my Medical officer in tekong gave me and he was like "half smiling half sneering" away, telling me that the hydrocortisone and chlorophenylamine were of not much effect to my blistered skin. I told him i scratched alot in the night which caused alot of lesions on the skins. He said he gave him a heavier dosage of a cream and some anti-itch pills, followed by lastly an anti-allergy medication(pills).
Listening to Jay chou live cd now....very cool man, including all the mtvs of his latest album....nice man....
Love his Qing Tian..lovely love song.
Now i shall talk abit about my field camp. For that 5 days...that particular field camp site was like a "sand flies hell". All my fellow instructors and recruits were all bitten by that small little sand flies(or black flies). After being bitten, i didn't dared to apply the SAF repellent on to my skin, afraid that heavily concentrated repellent might infect my skin. In the end i resort to shaking them off my hands, neck and occasionally head. They were really very small and before u realise it, u feel an itchiness followed by a mild pain. Then next come the swatting of ur hands on that sand fly which more often died as a result. This encounter with sand flies really spoil alot of my happy times or last time in the field. It was the first time i had a field camp site so close to the beach u know. It was kind of interesting though. Throughout that 5 days, never was a single drop of rain shedded from the sky. As a result, the day (noon esp) was freaking hot, while the night(around 2-6am) was freezing cold...
I slept on a bench which was shorter than the length of my body for the 5 days. In the middle of the nights, i would wake up to swatting flies or to the neck and back aches from the hard surface that i was sleeping on.
On the third days, all the instructors had a barbecue to celebrate the last field camp for most of us who are going to ord soon. The newly posted instructors prepared everything... and it was kinda fun...esp when it comes to initiation time. INITIATION, as it suggests, is a welcoming ceremony for new instrutors. We either made them drink beers, or go into some awkward situations, answering questions, shout at him, punish him....utimately followed by shaking of hands to welcome him into kilo coy.
At the end of the barbecue we had a small little cake for january babies, including myself, though it was really belated....
Oh ya..can u imagine that my camp site was the same place where the guardmen was being dunked inside the water which resulted in his death. Spooky huh? dun worry, no haunted experience to share.
Anyway my encik actually got a tv and dvd player into the field! It was powered by a generator...and all of us in the night watched the new episode of Desperate Housewives. It was a pretty ...to be frank an drama series with some hiliarious and yet erotic scenes. Hmmm pretty curious why they allowed the broadcast of a show like this and not sex and the city. I like sex and the city coz of sarah jessica parker unique character in the show. Though the cons to these shows are that they encourage promiscuity...but that aside, the social issues and the way frenships are treasured are pretty heart warming to be noteworthy.
Juz hope that my hands can get healed way before chinese new year.....
