There had been considerable number of forest fires for the past few days...esp in the "chu kang" areas..dunno yio or chua (haha).
Anyway, always read of the harrowing fires in Australia, oblivious that Singapore barren lands can be so vulnerable to the searing heat from the sun.
A little drop of rain will be so nice now...the weather now is so humid, hot, making me so sticky even in the night.
I got 2 fans in my rooms, and i know some of my frens muz be enjoying in their air-conditioned room.... Anyway, 2 fans are good enough for me though.
The maximum temperature now can reach as high as 33! That is like so unbelievably hot....
So much of the hotness. Now i shall talk about Education Minister mooting the idea of having "Bahasa" as a third language option. That came as a suprise for me, but after hearing from the minister mentor, LKY, i realise that his reasons behind supporting this idea seem so illogical. He was citing examples from the rations supplied to Aceh, that we singaporean soldiers are unable to understand or even converse in elementary Bahasa malay. This could then impede the rate of reconstruction in that calamity-struck areas. Perhaps he is true...but citing that examples doesn't seem to suffice.
I guess learning another new language is always beneficial but why Bahasa there are bound to reason aplenty that i might not understand fully at the moment. I guess it will only affect the generations to come....(as if i am very old).
