That crazy short-hair hirsute woman haven been replying to all my msgs..Hmmp. Last night barely sleep from my gaurd duty and now i feel so enervated to be back home!
Glad yesterday's duty was as smooth as the sails in the seas... anyway i msg to a couple of frens on the indecisiveness on the course of study in NUS. From Ngee Ann to VJ, seems that Sciences are always my favourite and forte. Whatever that prompt me to give up on science to pursue engineering is something call Pragmatism and Practicality.
I guess everything still boils down to Passion versus Practicality which i know i have been mentioning this for umpteen times.
No doubt the prospects of a course like Life sci might not be as wide as engineering, but somehow i feel that Life sci might juz be a major i need to get that close proximity with nature. Do you think NUS will let me switch to life sci? Hopefully.
Some of you might question me, is my sudden mode of thinking triggered by the latest news about life sci as the top choices of sec sch students going on to polytechnics. This news was further impounded by a fact that the government does make a statement in 2000 that it's going to expand and invest in the life sci industry in the years to come....
That last part of the paragraph that i have juz typed, is something i dun find credible to use as a reason for me to enrol in Life sci. The booming of any industry is unpredictable, yet at times being onset by the power that was bestowed upon our government, sian right?
Yesterday night i think think, while reading my novel.
Talking about novel, i finished a novel called Lethal Harvest by William Cutrer and Sandra Glahn.....somehow coincidently this novel triggers off my interest in Life sci. FANTASTIC novel, a muz-read book.....really captivated my heart, I would say this is a good Christian novel..about science and God at play. The romance part might be a bit too lengthy(no erotic stuff la) but i really like the plot...which bears true testimony to the living existence of the Lord Almighty.
Sometimes we only learn how to treasure life when we are at the brink of it. Sometimes everything around us tells us of the existance of God glaringly yet we still choose to lead astray. Hmmm if only i could translate all these convictions into attending Church, that will be such a blessing isn't it?
Thank you Lord, for speaking to me from such a simple novel, which brilliantly shows the presence of you. Feel much better, no more battling of choices for course of study.
