C programming is killing me.......striving to finish the book b4 the due date or i will have to renew it..which the last thing that i will succumb to.

The agency, for unknown reason keep delaying the commence date of my work. I thought i could start work today, but to my dismay...there is still a stagnancy in the status quo..
Yesterday brought ronglun to the agency, and then zixian called us to tell us of a one-day stint doing waitering services at the Avril Lavigne concert. Mind you... she is my idol too...
However, the consultant of zixian had mistaken the actual date of the concert from 2nd April to 1st April. What egregious mistake...so blatant.
2nd April, as we all know by now, is ZX and Xiaoting's birthday....so....it's pretty impossible for any of them to go for this one-day stint.
Anyway going out with ronglun always make me laugh and laugh..dunno why...alot of funny jokes from tv and other stuff...real hilarious. hehe.

This morning i went to take my basic theory test. GUess what i thought my test was at 0845 when it was actually at 1015.
In the end i have to call my skin center doc to tell him i will be an hour late....
Rushing to the clinic was hell.....spending money on consultation and medicine is another hell for me....
Came back hoping to install my new-found passion. PC gaming. Command and conquer: THe Generals. That time i brought Zixian to selegie road to find the job agency, then after that we went to play Lan Game at one of the shops in Paradiz. We played Command and Conquer:Generals. I was new to the game but was pretty much in awe by the improvments in the special effects. The last game that i had played was Age of Mythology and Red ALert 2.
Alright i know that Generals is quite an old game. I am outmoded can?
As i was saying i am supposed to be playing game now. BUT too bad, only the main user of this PC can download, since HE has the full administrative rights. Dunno what's wrong with him. SMS him to ask him for the password to enter but he refuse to. Simply bo hiu my sms. Nvm...juz hate to wait for him to come back. WHy muz he segregate with his own password. No point right??
Yesterday someone was bitching about ppl keep eating his stuff when he bought them back home. He painstakingly reminded me and my youngest bro to not to touch his cereals. Oh come on, you bought something back, we eat abit, also muz be so parsimonious over it meh? He then said that he sometimes have to go to sch with an empty stomach juz coz ppl eat aways his breakfast stuff. For that, i can tell u: I AM NOT the culprit. I am not so....inconsiderate.. oh well, hack care lar.
THe sky has been pretty gloomy today. Today i learnt alot of english words that were derived from the Greek Mythology. The story behind words like Archilles' Heel, Protean, Hydra-headed, Chimera...etc. Pretty intriguing stories that held me spellbound for moments after moments....love them so much. I didn't even know words like Jovial and Erotic were derived from the Mythologies too.

Oh ya lim teh's Mr J is thinking of selling his racquets to her at 50 bucks each(he got 3), which is quite a good bargain... considering a typical one will cost around 150 plus and of coz good ones 400 plus(out of point already).
Yea...anyway lim teh will take a good look at the stuff and quality first b4 making the decision.

Let me tell you, it had been a while since i had such a laugh of my life in a cinema. The last being Kungfu hustle.
M C 2 was so fulsome of incredible and sometimes silly lame, witty jokes. Love them so much. Sandra was simply almost flawless in her years of acting, having to give up all her romantic comedies for this hilarious comedy.
I muz say the miss united states looked so much like Kirsten Dunst... "People care about people who care about themselves....but I don't care what people think about me".....Gracie hart.

I have this cousin who lived in kallang bahru. She had juz graduated from NIE and is now teaching chinese in some primary school. She came home one day with puffy swollen eyes, obviously suffering from some distress of a source much to my aunt's oblivion.
She was stressed up by the rascals in the school. That is one. Second, MOE officials are coming to observe her teaching, and if she happens to fail that observatory test, she has to pay quite a lofty sum of money back to MOE.
My aunt had reassured her that no matter what happened, not to worry over the paying back of the money to MOE. But it's a big sum i tell you.
I was pretty concerned, since my family is pretty close to my maternal immediate cousins. I only see my PATERNAL ones once in a year i tell you...
I SMSed her, telling her if she needed any help in marking the homework i can always come down to her house to help since my work probably only start next friday. Teachers in the schools do play politics i tell you. The teachers higher in seniority will pass the homework to my cousin to mark for them, simply unbelievable.
My fren was telling me, schools are juz like any other major companies; they can never escape from the clutches of politics and manipulation of social interactions for personal escalation.
Anyway, my cousin, jennifer, was greatful for my proffer and had mentioned that she would call me if she needed help. Hope she really meant it, nothing to be bashful about.
Back in my mind, i was wondering if she had felt bad that her mum had actually told my family about her demise. But then i was thinking perhaps she wun think that way lar...afterall we always help one another one..
Her brother was my junior back in jc times. He had also been helping her to mark the homework. I think it should be alright for her to cope ba.
Fancy that a teacher had to bring homework to mark over the weekends...sian. I guess that is how bleak the reality can be.

Ok ok...juz got a call from Cassandra, another consultant. She told me of this job at raffles place. 9 to 1830, 6 per hour....nice right. Monday to friday. Sometimes saturday requires me to work. Perfect! This is what i called the perfect part-time job for me. Yeah. But i told her monday i got basic theory. Can only work on tuesday.... Bad me bad me.

Orhhhhh so tired. Juz back from town. Went to orchard library. Before that went down to M L consulting to collect my cheque. To my dismay, they told me the cheque is not ready and that i have to come down next wednesday. Hmm i tried calling them before i came down but i couldn't get thru the line coz it was engaged and engaged. Wasted trip i guess.
The town was in a dearth of ppl today. That's the good thing about going to town on weekdays morning. Went herens HMV, listening to Tori Amos new album, Beekeeper.
Talking about that Beekeeper album. Tori Amos got this unconventional way of singing song. This is of coz a verisimilitude to Sarah Mclachlan's soothing new age voice. However, Tori Amos sounds a bit different in her own persona of a very gypsy-like, celtic diva.
I stood there listening to all the enchanting tracks, including Sleeping with butterflies, and the duet with Damien Rice ( he sounds horrible in this duet)...
All the 19 or so tracks carry different flavours and teleports the listeners to various entities in an ultimate breathtaking audio sensation. It's amazing how i can convince myself not to buy it. Well i did it.
Orchard library as usual always have books that i wan. Borrowed a CSI novel, and a c++ programming book. Sitting down on a wooden platform to peruse the programming book.
The thing about me is i like to go all the way to town to juz get something, look at something, then suddenly juz feel like going back home. Dun ask me why. Not as if eunos to town is that far anyway. Nothing of a big deal. But probably it is equivalent to being BO LIAO? May be.
Gona take a nap. Study for basic theory later. Yes laugh all u wan. My third basic theory test.
My dad got for me this senior consultant from temp-team ptd ltd. I email her a brief resume and she called quite fast yesterday evening, acquiring some info i have forgotten to include. As usual ppl in this line is amicable, making every single effort to sound nice. Nothing impressive. She said if i am comfortable with sales job. I replied with an unequivocal "no". Road-shows? No way. She said no prob. Then she mentioned about some manual labour stuff and i said that i am absolutely fine with that, as well as data entry. She actually ask me if 6 or more per hour is fine. OF COZ. Comparing that to ML consulting, 4.5, everything is ok. Curse me all u wan ML. -_-

THe stupid Dr loh.... still haven't fully cured me and discharge me yet. The NSC will now charge me for the consultation and medicine, considering my ord date to have arrived.
48 for consultation, medicine about 10 plus. SIAN. I feel telling him off on my next appointment which is next monday. Hey u, can u for once prescribe me something strong to rid of those sand fly toxins as well as those on my upper arms which seemingly look like acne....
THe thing about NSC is that the doc dont' want to prescribe patients something too wrong, instead they will juz step by step see how the thing goes unless there had been a stagnancy.
Curse them. Come on i am so strong, something strong won't kill me right. Up till now then he wake up his idea and gave something better for the sand fly toxins. Yes i am allergic to them, juz in case u readers dunno.
For goodness sake, can the doc stop giving me Erythomicin..... NO EFFECT. Antibodies? Even my family doc also gave me that for the chest injury i got last time. Ask NSC doc for some medication on acne, he also gave me that. Great.
I know they had been very nice, but this time round, i shall exercise some consumer rights before their pockets are being lined.

I am so frustrated with myself. I failed so badly in my performance today. The balls were hit high, sometimes can't even hit the ball. So ashamed to face edwin. He had been picking the balls for me, encouraging me, teaching me...
He told me to keep staring at the ball, to adopt the twisting motion correctly to sweep at the ball. Many at times i like to stretch my hand or even legs to go hit the ball, juz like the way i hit a shuttlecock in badminton....sian.
The pent-up frustration in me eventually manifest itself in a series of haphazard hits, with no focus and concentration. I started to pick the ball and juz hit it back without adopting the correct techniques. Stupid me..... Fatigue and poor attitude always get the better of me... sianz.
But i will NOT give up...will continue to learn and learn and practise....

Alright, going to type up some afterthoughts after watching the latest episode of Desperate Housewives.
First of all Lynette.....really feel so sad for her....suddenly chucking her kids to Susan and was sittinf down at the field...stoning... that's when the perfectionist and susan appeared to console her. Heart-warming scene. Sometimes i think Lynette really need to be more drastic in managing those nasty little rascals of hers.... SPANK them lar....rule them with an iron rod lor..instead of indulging them.
The son of the Bree, the perfectionist....wa biang.....really a bastard...u guys should jolly well know why i say that. Juz imagine that look of horror on the mother when the son retaliated her with "if u inform the police, that makes you a monster"..... nonplussed.
I am never bothered with those killings and the Mike's actual identity. I am more concerned of the individual housewives' surreptitious lives.

Ever since i am out of the national service, once in a while wakes up in the morning to have breakfast with my bro. Dunno why he fancy eating at the market but i guess i still tag along lar; not a long distance to walk anyway. Of coz along the way and during the breakfast we will talk about issues revolving domestic affairs( i am really an old man liao), esp revolving my dad. Once we talked about our dad, we can't stop complaining...
Today as usual is another day of breakfast with him, and after that he got to go for his exam while i went back home. He told me how fussy we 'A' level students can be, criticising how picky and captious we are about our job selection. To some extent he is right lar, but then i guess we jc students sometimes really deserve better jobs hehe... On and on he told me about having a job to learn and gain experience rather than looking on at the pecuniary value of it.
Yes i am now impoverished, impecunious, but i am still adamant that nothing can trample me to make my spirits for today diminutive. I am high today, coz later gona have another game of tennis with my buddy. K lar, he might not be that a professionally trained coach but at least he still can teach me the basic fundamentals which are good enough for me.
He taught me the various ways to hold the racquet, and the actions adopted after returning a ball, what drop shots are..etc. Of coz i was pretty fervent in wanting to learn how to serve the ball but it was kinda too soon for me to learn that in juz that first game i had with him.
Hmm that's about it, a short anecdote of my brief acquaintance with tennis. Whether i am going to like it in the long run is still too early to say...
One thing i realise is that tennis can be real shag.....coz it really uses quite abit of ur shoulder muscles and others which u have seldom used it before. At the end of the day, aches pervaded the whole body.. Edwin also told me tennis can easily injure u for life... something noteworthy huh?

Hai today is my last day at M L consulting pte ltd. I dun even know what does that M L stands for.
For these 2 days, meagre pay they gave me, alot of phone calls to make, alot of files to sort out, things to carry.....
So coz of me being fussy with the jobs..i am now jobless....serve me right.
Today after work meet up with Lim teh, treated me to BK, walking around talk crap, crazy gal always dragged me into the crazy world of hers, not to mention her teasing of my pronunciation on certain words...
Yes i admit that i am a bit handicapped int the phonetics stuff.... quite bad ....hehe.

Yo found a job for today and tmr, at international plaza at tanjong pagar...very high somemore 29th floor... anyway an easy job in calling up ppl and asked them questions and then filling up forms....thats all...but let me tell u, 4.5 per hour is what i called meagre pay. KK...may be i shouldn't be so pragmatic and fussy over this kind of thing. Having a job at hand is gd enough. Well, aiya but still i am going to juz bitched about it.. stupid pay.
Well, after tmr, i am unemployed again unless, unless, this company wanted to employ me further to do their traffic count, which is 7 per hour... quite ok. See how things go tmr.
LOTR on channel five now. Bring back so many memories during the time i watched this show..so long ago... one of these days shall watch a marathon on LOTR>.....Man ...life is so good with A I V S. Army Deficiency Viruses.... so virulent in my body now.

Yes of coz to mention something that i had done yesterday. Went to t.mall to pierce my ears.... Ladies and gentleman, i knew that many had been quick to ask what had prompted me to do that in such a short timespan.
Well first of all i had plans for this thing way some time back, juz haven really made up my mind yet since i have to wait for ORD ma.
Secondly, obviously i can't pierce b4 i ordl; a bit risky, dun wanna get charged for nothing. :P
Thirdly, I am HIAO can??
Anyway the gal at the 77th street, undoubtedly an ah lian, but still very hippie and QIO. Heehee. Anyway she asked if this is my first hole to pierce, then i nod my head. She stopped for a while, looked at me and asked me,
" YOu nervous izzit?"
"Erm, oklar...." I mumbled.
"You have to relaz, or else you will feel the pain".. She mumbled back
Then i feel the sting from some insect in the shape of a gun. In moments of seconds, i feel some stinging feeling on my ear, definitely not that of a pain, but some weird burning feeling.
She gave me instructions on what to do, pass me the lotion, handed her the bill and i left.

I bought the seoul raider vcd yesterday to watch with my family. Glad they enjoyed the show. Though this was the second time i watched the show, i am still equally thrilled and laughed along those funny scenes. I know that this is a very lousy show in terms of plot, but surely it still can be given credits for its entertaining value? Dun be so captious lor..

Today is sunday... yesterday's tennis introductory game with Jonathan was fun... Didn't realise tennis can be so fun. Anyway that was the first time i ever tried to hold a tennis racquet.
Today i shoulder was kinda aching away while afternoon i go PS with Vin. In PS, as usual nothing much to see except TIMES, MUSIC JUNCTION, CARRE FOUR..etc.
I bought a big tub of yogurt, with pieces of peach and mangom intending to stuff my whole body with protein molecules... siao right?
Seriously, i happened to know this term called ECTOMORPH, and i know i am an ectomorph. Ectomorphism might a blessing to many ladies, but it proves to be more of a bane for me. Ectomorphs have difficulty in gaining mass, delicate bone structure, high basal metabolic rate, compared to the opposite category, ENDOMORPH.
HOw i know this stuff? Well, dun laugh, from TV mobile, when JEAN DANKER was comparing Sheikh Haikel and Daniel Ong in this show called Body Beautiful.

I realise i am crazy. Coz i still couldn't get over the fact that the pink IC is really on my hands... I still have the kind of booking-in thoughts for sunday evening. My goodness, see what the army had done to me....
Come on sunday will juz a nice little sunday, no worries of being late in catch the last ferry at 11:30pm. No worries of waking late the next morning. No more encik breathing down ur neck....no more STAND BY BED for specialists by SSM...
No more "hair-length" spotting contest from ppl like encik and SSM... at least now got less people for them to spot with the 27th aslc spec leaving... :)
No more standing at the entrance of the ferry to usher the BIG SHOTS coming out of the ferrym preventing those AUNTY and UNCLES from coming out first.... That
was the most idiotic thing that i had ever done...
I remember one time while doing this ushering duty that i saw the last person who came out was a warrant officer, his face was lobster red, he was walking wobbly, staggering, almost stumbling...
I thought he was drunk... really looked as if he was inebriated......but in the end the penguin ferry uncles told me that his warrant got a stroke juz now in the ferry... I was like .. W T Fish....
Everytime doing this duty from 7 to 8 am, that one hour of boredom can kill me. I will hang around with my guard commander at the platform waiting for incoming ferry....
While waiting i will keep looking at the fishes that came coalescing into one spot....many at times i saw these fishes with sharp pointed mouths, something like a sword fish. I did stupid things whenever i see this fishes....
I will juz keep hmming to myself "juz keep swimming, juz keep swimming, juz keep swimming..."....

My mum was clearing her leave from wednesday all the way to sunday. She will then be at home. She invited her colleagues to my house for some feast today. Ya forgot to mention something. My mum got PROMOTED to section leader. Really happy for her. THough she might not be literate in english, but i am still proud of her. As long she is enjoying what she is doing and i will always be there to listen to her political issues. :)
Anyway, they are all(8 plus ppl i think) eating at my kitchen, with the curry fish head, salads, some shells, some dumplings....etc. Well, i dunno what else to help my mum except to pour some drinks for them. In this kind of sweltering heat, my drinks really save their day.
Before they came, my mum and i cook ourselves our own curry fish head. While eating, she asked me if it's spicy. I told her no, and thus she decided to put more chili inside the curry. May be coz of my mum, that all of us have this affinity for chili or spicy food, for that matter. Hope her colleagues are not in their throes of agony screaming for a saviour to ameliorate the pain in their tongues. Yes i am being cruel with words. I know.
As usual my mum will tell them i had juz ORD, then i will juz smile mirthlessly.., with some inscrutable expression that demand them to say thank you when i serve them drinks. Luckily they did that. .......

When will the next time i step into tekong after tomorrow? Afterall i spent the 2 yrs and 2 months in the island. From recruit to a specialist. I know the island at my finger tips. Not exactly finger tips though. At least enough to survive any ordeals.The familiar penguin ferry services. The guard duties, COS duties, having to endure nonsensical punitive treatments from encik. All these could have been the other side to tekong life which can be pretty loathsome.Yes i have signed 3 extras for that 2 yrs and 2 months for some stupid blunder that i had committed. I shan't elaborate on that though.My bunk is my little comfort zone. My bunk mate used to bring in this subwoofer which made a hell of a music inside my bunk. I like that anyway.I know that years down the road, these little memories might slowly fade away, diminish into some far corners of my brain. Nevertheless, i would wan to remember some great pals which i have forged during the times.Sometimes with all the sports facilities so near to your bunk, everything is so convenient. We usually go jogging to sispec, sometimes to the defence store.. at times we go swimming...Did i mention the occasional heli evacuation? Hmm not a great thing to anticipate, but when the day arrives when someone got to send to CGH, it's such an aweseome scene for the recruits. I guess most of them hadn't got the chance to look at helicopter from at such close proximity.

Went to see my family doc today. Told him about the pain that had been assailing me since yesterday. Told him about the medication i was currently taking. He told me may be it is due to some skeletal-muscular problems. He didn't really give me an exact diagnosis but he could be quite sure that it is not gastric. Good.He gave me some muscle relaxant and painkillers. At least i feel so much better now..can cough at ease. :)My doc gave me 2 days MC, refraining from any strenuous excercises that might aggravate the chest muscles.I told him that i am ording this coming saturday and he actually ask me what i am doing after that. I told him about doing part-time b4 sch starts in august. Dr Bok then recalled that his wife has alot of "lobang" which i might be interested. In the end he asked me for my number. That's it.Weird that my family doc can so helpful. That is what i called professionalism.

Today i went back to see my recruits pass out. Finally my sixth and the last batch of recruits. No more chance to tekaning them anymore...
Today i went back camp to carry my helmet,sbo and field pack back home. I muz tell u, the duffel bag still weighs me down...
Am i envious of the new "roller" duffel bag? May be...but i do take pride that i got to use this ALI BA BA bag which most of my elders and even my dad can identify with.
Everybody was like busied with duties today during the Graduation Parade. I was like a sore in eyes of my colleagues, wearing civies walking around.
My recruits after throwing the caps, decided to throw my pc, my colleagues and I up in the air. Pretty took me off guard... (anyway they are not suppose to throw any instructors, according to an order from SSM).
Probably due to myself clearing alot of leave, i am not really that attached to this batch of recruits compared to the rest of the batches...
So here i am back home again...

As you can tell, i only have only a few more days left before i start for my part time job. So i will be crazily blogging away...like a mad dog(primary sch nickname, dun ask me why).
Anyway jackie(a gal) from ace recruitment center called me juz now to tell me that the offer at Teck Ghee CC was called off while there is an urgent offer at Punggol CC which is situated near hougang CC.
I told her to put on hold while i went online to check out the address, or the exact location of this CC. After consulting the online bus guide, i realise the approximate time for me to reach the place is 19 minutes, not an unreasonable one.
I told her that i am on for it, and reminded her that i seriously can't commence my work earlier than 21st... Oh come on, 19 is my ord and u mean i cannot even take some time(1 day) off to take a break?
I got this unnecessary qualms about this new-found job. First of all this is my new job, which doesn't give me the right to complain, secondly, i am concerned over the restrictions of this job. I hope that i can read my books, listen to cds..bla bla bla.
Another thing, what is the proper attire? All these questions are boiling over the pot.. and i know that jackie will get back to me real soon.

Juz back from the wake. It's a bit sad to hear cries from an old man. That's the last thing i would ever want to hear. Linda's grandad was juz informed of the death of his wife. What follows you can imagine.
Xidong, qiaoli and some of us went to take a glimpse at lim teh's grandma. It a bit spine chilling to look at a corpse of someone with juz a thin plastic lid away. In fact the body had juz arrived to the place.
I never stay too long, for reasons i am sure lim teh will understand... may be it's juz a cowardice on my part but i am juz worried what kind of conversation i can strike with chee hong and guys..
Anyway i saw a RP rsm around at the wake! He was the one we fear and hated most when we were posted to 3 SIR. He was lim teh's neighbour... what a small world...and that stupid gal nearly go tell him sa le wo ba.

Today Ken had his tooth extracted at my camp dentist. He was really wincing and grimacing in throes of agony...
His predicament seriously made me less confident of confrontation with dentists, if any, at all. We booked out together to go Selegie complex to go look for this job agency. He had registered his profile over there and i was pretty new to the whole process.
In juz a couple of minutes, the amicable receptionist was able to give me a somewhat promise of a job related to customer servcice over at Teck Ghee CC. I was further explained that this was at Ang Mo kio.
Back in my mind, i knew that a place in the north shouldn't be much a problem since I could get a chance to explore a new territory/neighbourhood in singapore. Yes, i am not familiar with AMK..and it could be fun...(crap i know).
ANyway with that a promising salary and job hours, at least i believe a job like this could bring me away from this 4-sided graphically stimulated box, and to really relate to people....
At least i wun be at home doing nothing, slacking..right? But i am fully prepared for a sudden change in my lifestyle for this coming months. For example, i am no longer in my comfort zone, enduring long working hours or even weird timings..?
Hope that things will be fun and uplifting then now...
Oh ya...Limteh's grandma juz passed away. Been praying for her courage to get life moving on. Knew that i can never understand that kind of pain that she is going through since i am never that close to my grandparents. She had been living with her grandparents for 20 years...that is alot of bonds being created permanently...undamaged easily by any scrotching burning torch...
Oh ya pray that certain discords amongst her relatives could be resolved and brought to her final full-cessation.... thank you Lord.

I have tried to gather whatever sources of scholarships i can get. I realise something that people said that is fundamentally unsound. To try for everything...
Yes, i did what normal desperate people do: to really seek out those scholarships and to fill up the forms. However somehow some of these scholarships are simply not the one i wan. When i said this i am referring to kind of employment after i have graduated. Take PUB for instance, do i really see myself working for PUB after i graduate?
Some might further argue that u have not much choice since u are not rich urself.
True enough...but somehow there is still something u could do right? I mean to really fill up all the forms is really redundant. Considering i am only seeking scholarships at this moment, i really dunno what is the chance of me getting one...
Anyway besides all these scholarships, there is always bursaries...grant and stuff...so no worries...
