My mum was reading the Wan Bao juz now and suddenly asked me what i think of this: Photogenic Mum competition.
Mum : let me finish reading this first. Erm...at IMM...hopefully i dun have to go down.
Me: What did it say? Go lei go lei!
Mum : Siao ah, but i look ok for my age, right?
Me: Yes lar.
Mum: Oh..erm..here it says, juz need to send the photo of myself, a photo with husband(muz be more than 5 yrs of marriage) and a marriage cert.
Me: I can ask my fren to take the picture for you ma, go Fort canning take lar
Mum: Siao ah(laughing away).
Resume tv watching.
Sometimes my mum is so cute. She showed me a pic of herself when she went for her company function. Erm the gown was alright but i told her i prefer her hair to be like now, with no fanciful tied up on top. Juz plain rebond hair that is let down or even tied up behind, manifesting that sporty look.
After her promotion, she always comes home to complain about the extra stuff that she ought to perform with only an addition of 40 bucks to her payroll.
Juz wan her to be happy. =)
Her birthday is coming and i haven discussed with my brother wat to get for her yet, or should we juz treat her to a meal?? Hmmm. So far she is quite happy with wat we get for her. May be one day i would wan to get an air ticket for her and my dad to go for honeymoon reminiscence.
My mum went to dye her strands of white hair back to the dyed colour she has. Then i was asking my little brother what he had been doing these days, coz he had been coming home late from school. He told me the reasons were commitment to chess club and remedial.
Erm, not convincing, kid. I pressed on and he finally told me that he got suspension on of the days. I was at the coffee shop with mum having dinner when i exclaimed," for wat??"
He told me he didn't do his homework. I was even nonplussed. Why?
He then further confounded this conundrum by telling me he did handed up the homework but his teacher apparently had misplaced his work.
I was first confused, but now a bit enlightened and thus furious.
Hold on a sec, i dun really fully trust my brother's story. But if it's true, then it is something serious.
Tmr is his meet-the-parents session in the night. My mum dun understand eng, dad working, so i might be going down. He told me the principle had proclaimed that if any of the students from his class specifically had no parents coming, they will be suspended. Erm, sounds a bit exaggerated. My little brother then told me his class is one of the problematic class in his school.
Woah seriously i am concerned. When i actually ticked him off, he actually obstinately avoid my questions and glaring. I have all the right to know what is happening you know. I never question the company of friends he had but i am concerned whether he knows what he is doing and what his priorities are.
Happy or not, i am there to monitor his studies. Haizzz
