Today is monday and yesterday my parents came back from their genting trip. Mum is on leave today, so i took half day leave from work to go to DBS Bedok with her to procure the nus bank loan. The procedures were pretty simple and less of a hassle than i had expected. After my mum and I went to walk walk within the bedok area and also Ntuc to get some groceries. Bought chicken, ducks, milk, chocolate, pork, hash brown..bla bla. Finally settle the bank loan thingy. The deadline is 15 still far away i know. Juz wannna get the thing done and over with.
Today at work the "VIP" from korea, japan and thailand came for a training seminar.THere is this cleaning lady who is very chatty TODAY. Keep talking to me about she need to supervise his primary 5 kid on his studies and she keep asking me how to study for good results. General question again...sian. I am not born smart or neither am i smart at the moment. I guess ppl juz assume once u step into NUS you are juz one of those elite, a cute above the rest.
Recently, peruse about some issues highlighted in the straits times. The ever widening gap between the wealthy and that impecunious ppl. Ppl see the professionals as a elite class and putting ppl from the factory, doing cleaning job as another class, something not that prestigious. Then ppl started to talk about how to bridge this gap and how ppl from this elite class should be interacting with those from the other classes. Well we are moulded to be like wat, ever since we started schooling in PAP kindergarten. Meritocracy wat...you do well you climb higher...that is how things work isn't it? Is all about choices and choices and choices. No such thing as dumb and stupid. It's all a matter of whether you want to work for it.
Yesterday watched Artificial Intelligence on Channel 5. An old show, yes i am aware of that, but i hadn't really got the chance to watch the show. This time round i only watched 3/4 of the show. I missed the first part. Hmmm ok lar, not too bad, though the ending is a little bit of bizzare.
I also watched the NKF Cancer foundation charity show. I watched only the part about these kids who were infected with cancer, and some got to amputate their legs. As little 10 yrs old, and they had to face and struggle with this illness. Very depressing to see the kid cry...esp when you thought that they were too young to understand what the sickness is about. Haiz. Stupid Adam's fault, to take the forbidden fruit and bestowed this kind of misery upon us.
Finally, Carrie underwood "Inside your Heaven" (full single version) is released and aired on radio. I heard it over class 95 today. At least this time round, we dun have the irritating sounds of the screaming fans. SHould switch off the electricity to these fans.
