Watched Narnia with XT and angel today. I arrived a bit late, and i was glad GV had it's usual advertisements. Juz for one day, i shall stop complaining about their cinema ads.p
Narnia was really a splendid movie. Those who haven't watched it please skip the whole of this entry coz it's gona be an entry filled with narnia spoilers. haha.
First and foremost, today at my work my fren was already sms-ing me about the christian allusions inside the movie. Aslam=Christ, the messiah. This particular scene whereby the lion was sneered and scoffed upon by those beasts and monsters remind me of christ being mocked on his way to cruxifion.
I like the Lion very much,...so majestic, so cuddly. Like soft toy. Imagine telling that to a king. haha. "Hey you, look very much like a soft toy u noe..!"
The music of the background is superbly bewitching too. Angel could roughly tell wat i wan to say when that soothing singing background voice turned to life.

In all we have 8 ppl attending this sequel to the previous gathering we had over my house. I never fail to make a fool out of myself, no matter what kinds of card games they were. Thanks to Ronglun we had a hell of a time playing HALLI GALLI. Obviously with the Angel as the champion, having suffered those bruises on her palms, thanks to her nemesis in the game, Zixian.
We played a few games that are not worth mentioning and i wonder if those game marshalls in the cafe muz be playing a joke on us or may be we each have head band which writes "we are boring" or something like that. They keep giving us games that are either improvision of games we already sick of playing like the "PIT" which is a bit like heart attack, or that TETRIS game..which obviously is the game between Jianheng and Zixian haha.
The clay game was ok lar. At least nobody got my broccoli correct. But the champion still goes to Zixian's ultimate "punching bag". He first made a glove-like thingy ,followed by a bag, and thus the punching bag. LAME.
We had this game when we will each get this small little plastic farm animal, and we are supposed to mimick the voice the animal. If you have a card that is similar to the card of the other person, u are suppose to make the other person's animal's sounds. Alot of card games were indeed played, and card games, unless they are real good, can get bored after juz a few rounds.
The food there were pretty average, and we barely drank alot of the drinks too, since we were engrossed with playing the games. Thus i think the free flow kinda not worth it. Generally the variety of games that they have is good enough, or should i say interesting enough.
We walked around Clark Quay area, took a couple of shots of pics...and we have a narcissist among us,and not me .
Generally it was a good but tiring day for me.

This is the pic of our gathering last night! But we didn't really take one with yongxing and chuantian coz they came later. Though Ailing had to leave early in that gorgeous gown of hers, haha but we did appreciate her coming and of coz her gift haha.
We exchange all the gifts when Ailing was about to leave for Orchard. I got Angel's carpet gift, while ailing got my clock. Aiya clock only ma..
We watched many shows, mostly here and there, some not full shows. We watched many horror films, and of coz, not to mention my beloved LOVE ACTUALLY.
We got mahjong,we got ppl play warcraft, we got ppl use laptop, we got DAI DEE...all kinds of activities, free and easy haa.
I kind of grew addicted to that arse hole dai dee, though i was super lousy at it, UNTIL the end. =P
We ordered pizza..canadian ones, turkey turkey and meat lovers, and the drinks and tidbits we bought over at seng siong. Juz hope that u guys weren't that bored last night.
ZX and GJ slept after a while also. Left the four of us playing the arsehole dai dee tiill 8 plus am.
Stunt of that night: Zixian cooking porridge in my house, with ayam brand tuna on it.
Shock of that night: My house door wasn't locked. Ronglun came in and kind of close the door loudly, and angel got a shock by that while watching "office got ghost".
Surprise of that night: Ailing came to my house in a black evening gown, while the rest of us were casually dressed.

This was the soft toy and chocolate i got from linda's church and it think it's quite an exquisite gift for tonight. I never fail to enjoy my day at her church mainly because i seriously couldn't get into those churches with rock bands and with too much of a contemporary flavour tagging with the services.For tonight,the kids and adults dressing in shirts and jeans going on stage to perform the singing of "God is good, all the time..", it's indeed a brilliant demonstration of how the kids and adults alike are bathing in the joy of the remembering the birth of Jesus Christ.
I personally liked the 3D animation of the birth of Christ, especially the part when legions of angels were in the sky praising the Lord with their voices.
As usual I am glad mr ong didn't really make it any difficult for me for tonight by posing me questions that will land me in another deadlock situation.
Oh ya, xidong was baptised today, and after reading his inspiring testimonials on the paper, i was pretty glad for him, especially when today he was dressed up in tie and shirt..the only time i saw him in this. WOuld have to wait for lim teh to pass me the pics coz i didn't bring my camera there today.
We had quite a feast of dinner after the whole service, not to mention that interesting sermon by Dr. Norman Barnard.Thanks ah lim teh for that card...coz that card did stir up memories aplenty back in those days when my parents were heavily objective of my faith. Oh well praise the lord man.!

Was supposed to be in my temporal-depression mode, but i had a fair share of wallowing in self-pity, and that's it, back to normal life, alive and kicking. (referring to results)
This morning randomly give a couple of friends early Christmas greeting, and one of them is the only recruit that i had kept in contact, and his name was Hongkiat. And he actually replied me,instead of a greeting, that he is getting married with a NTU girl, and hope that i can come. Shocked I am, Yoda will say this. He did remind me that he is older than me since he was in the poly batch. But i still think that it's a bit too young leh.
As usual i grumble alot to Lim teh about my results. I guess my morale did drop to a record low. Low until i question how I am going to be enthusiastic about the coming semester. Just first sem only leh, you might say..but somehow my mentor's words keep ringing in my ears: "what u get in year 1 can't really differ that much from ur final years". I don't know if his statement warranted any truth...but i juz have to move on isn't it? All i can say is that this result might juz alter my initial plan for the modules i am taking...
Yeahh..i wanted to go settlers too..can't wait for my pay to come..

There are so many super star,hosts showing on channel 8 and U. May be people think that they are juz atypical, boring, nothing entertaining, which cater mainly for couch potato like me,lounging at the sofa..switching my brain off...munching some chips, drinking my favourite peach tea...
Somehow, there are so much entertaining aspects of these shows that really make me want to watch these shows. Take for example the superHOST last night. The contestants were given an impromptu "air exhibit" on the stage, that were drawn by curtain. They prepared topics relevant to art and drawings by famous artists, and on the command "OPEN", the curtains were drawn, and something stood behind the curtains that made each contestants react in so "cartoony" way that really injects laughing fits into everybody below the stage. It was a nude lady standing right, alive.., with famous paintings painted onto her body. On certain angle of the camera, the tits had to be censored. The contestants tried their very best to explain the art piece, with a few obviously having their mind turned into a blank slate..and mouthing words that were of irrelevance. All were awfully shocked by this outcome of the contest.
Today in superstar...i was intrigued by the performance of a veteran actor, Chen Tai Ming, during that conversation he had with Mo Xiao Ling before the commercial break. He suddenly changed his facial expression, tightening to serious and solemn stare, with the camera fixated on that grave concerned look on his face. Next, his eyes immediately turned red, and Mo Xiao Ling stared at him in disbelief, speechless.. All this happened right after they were giggling about the performance of the contestants. My brothers and i after watching that, immediately went "WOW....IMPRESSIVE!".
Seeing that look on his face reminds me of the slim10 saga that he and his wife were twisted into. Probably he had used that experience to quickly get into the mood? I dunno.
My superior today gave me whole stacks of business cards to update...freaking sian.

Today Pearly asked me to go over her company to get those timesheets from her. During lunch time, i asked Cassandra to pass her the pen i made for in due appreciation for the jobs she had helped me find. Apparently, Cassandra expressed her jealousy in an slighly not so explicit way. She asked Pearly to pass me a note: "Hmmp, never make a pen for me", with her name chop at the end. This girl ah..i never ask her to treat me back the meal she owe me can already.
Pearly told me my dad is picking her up from work, and i can obviously hopped in. Througout the journey, i feel kind of awkward. While waiting for my dad's arrival, Pearly made use of the time to smoke, and that was the first time i saw her smoking.
In my dad's cab, they both talked alot. Pearly told me she know my dad for 10 over years already. Talked about their taste for music..talking about their mutual friends...talking about things that i never knew about my dad...his involvement in some night activities with his mates.
Can't wait for the last day at Salso tmr..dunno why Salso keep calling me back to help them..i wanna tidy up my room.
Juz managed to pack my gift a bit..and decorate it a bit. Well it's indeed below 5 bucks. =)

Yesterday i had a great day in chinatown and orchard. Chinatown with Ken, orchard with Linda.
Ken and i settled down at this mac at china square, then had our lunch, and since he brought his ibook and my lap top along, i had him teaching me how to use photoshop CS, as well as exploring my fireworks software. Learn a couple of new tricks here and there. Manage to help linda salvage her mynamar pic too. Interesting.
As normal as any december weather, there is always the smell of rain lingering in the air. We kind of anticipated it, and we were glad it was short-lived. We went to indian temples, shophouses, walk around those oriental gift shops, and I also bought a gift for this coming christmas eve too. There are a couple of interesting stores selling pretty exotic ornaments here and there. Times flew like nobody's business and from 1pm we walked till about 5plus, after which i met linda at lavender.
Went to concourse, with flurry of memories i had over there. Concourse is of coz famous for selling those party stuff, sweets, especially u are intending to get in bulk of those items. Candy canes were our main objective for that yesterday, since linda were helping xiuyi to get some. Candy canes did remind me of one event that Linda and I were put in charge to orgainse in YFC. The kind of goodiie bags were have to put inside this translucent blue bag for the students. In the end, the shops all run out of candy canes. Candy canes are real hot huh.
Orchard yesterday was typically crammed with people. We went to Kino browsing books. Went to artfriend to finally got my threads, yet still void of my black colour. Thinking of making the pen for Pearly since she had helped me got quite a number of jobs ever since after my ORD. Cassandra can stand one side, as guojun will noe why.
Today is monday, a day my brother first report to his unit, while it's another day for me to give tuition to Ethyl. I told her how her name was pronounced in chemistry haha. She was super restless today, and her younger sis was the main source of distraction throughout the 2 hour i had with her. Going primary 4 next year, she still can't read the time ..properly. She nearly blew the head off me, when she kept answering for the sake of answering the questions...without thinking at all. As patient as i could muster, i tried my very best to give her the best explanation. After one hour, i giver her 5 min break, and she had a pillow fight with her younger sis Ashley. All this while, her mum was resting in the room.
Ethy was doing her working, and she suddenly said:
"Why are u smiling?"
ME: "Huh? Am i smiling? I am not lar, it's juz my bug teeth..you are not the first one who say i am smiling for no reason."
Actually when i told this to my mum, she was in her laughing fits. I meant, juz imagined that she told this to her mum :"Mummy, nick today keep smiling.."...that be will the best concocted story for a psychotic rapist isn't it... WA BIANG...
Come on..i dun smile to myself..and neither am i some silly guy who keep smiling..
So stop saying that i like to smile to myself. Get it? =P

Jus had breakfast with my second brother. Little brother was still lazying in bed, despite my efforts in dragging him out. Was kind of commenting on my brother's preparation for his chalet thingy. Alot of unconfirmed details here and there. First of all, he was hopeful about that fateful day that he will be freed of any duty. I told him to be mentally prepared, since army is full of unwanted surprises. I did told him that in the event that he got a guard duty to perform, he had to take the initiative to either swap with his mate or in the end resorting selling his duty. I had never sold any duty in my whole ns liability..coz i always think that it's so ridiculous to actually sell them.
The day is drawing near...23rd..and i can actually view my exam results via sms..a pilot test for engineering students only. Bleah. Is it good or bad.? I don't noe. This means that the result will be delivered jus a sms away.

It's none other than the famous O Holy Night, a rendition done by none other than our Mariah Scary. Why i find it the hardest to sing..obviously u go listen to the second part of the song...then u will noe.
Have u ever heard the weirdest tunes coming out of Jingle bells?
Then go listen to the 12 girls band, and their rendition of jingle bells. I muz say it's a pretty good and "wow" piece of music coming forth from chinese instruments. I personally support their rendition of Joy to the World.
I can't recollect which year that i had watch Love Actually during this particular festive season. A heart-warming movie indeed.

My brother got into OETI, becoming a technician for the rest of his ns liability. He is of course in his jubilation and exuberant mood. He told me now he can come back and practise his Ruan everday since it's 9-5pm. I don't whether i should be happy for him or wat.
I remember that amongst the 4a guys, if i remember correctly, none of us were really in any technician related kind of vocation. I mean, for us, there is so much to gain out of an army experience, though it really sucks. Put it this way, given a choice i wun wan to serve, but looking at this choice again after finishing my army, i might think twice. We will all agree we learn things we can never learn in our daily civilian life. Of coz, i enjoy tekaning recruits..
Christmas eve. Oh spare me. I am totally inert towards inviting people or even becoming the co-organiser. I would rather be juz the host for the day. Pretty bad of me to always let angel be the one painstakingly asking people to go. All the responses were so typical: "how many ppl are coming? see first. will let u noe again..."so on and so forth.Christmas itself i might be going down to linda's church while the night before it's a mini 4a havoc day.
We were planning to watch some movies, then order some pizza or other stuff. Angel suggested twister, zixian wanted to watch castaway(spare me, not this kind of morbid film on a festive night). Mahjong, being our queen of piracy's all-time favourite activity couldn't be excluded from the night's itinery.
Gift exchange with gifts <= 5 bucks. That is fine with me. Since there is "cap" to the maximum amt you should spend. 5 bucks can buy interesting gifts too.
Suppose to get the threads for making the name-pen thingy. Spotlight had closed down in tampines! And a caveman like me seriously was in oblivion.

Today is my last day in Salso Chemicals. As usual, my superior, Irene Sim, thought that i was in secondary school. Someone of my physique with the status of an undergraduate seem so unfathomable. Whats so difficult to imagine huh. Alright, on a flattering note, i shan't grumble more.
For the past 2 days i was putting the christmas cards into the green envelopes, pasting the stamps, until i can remember the price of the stamps for all the country zone. Malaysia and Brunei = 40 cents, Singapore of coz 0.23, Korea,Taiwan, China and other asian countries 0.60 cents, New Zealand and Australia 0.70 cents. Europe, US and others 1.00 cents.
And i also learnt that nowadays typewriter can undo the errors! I always thought that u have to use a correction tape or liquid to erase ur errors. Now with one click, u can erase ur previous letter or the whole line.!
Irene saw me came going for and coming back from lunch in half an hour, and decide to reimburse me the half an hour for yesterday and today. Good.
Do you have any idea wat are Trans-fats?The oreo-making industry introduced it's very own trans-fat free oreo cookie, and asserted that these cookies tasted like the original! I am not really a chemical-savvy guy, but according to the TIME mag i read, apparently trans-fats are "formed when liquid oils are solidified by adding hydrogen, which also makes them resistant to rancidity and overheating". Why many ppl are now pushing for fast-food to go into making their food trans-fats free is because these fats have proven to increase the likelihood of our poor blood "tubes" being clogged since they boost the bad cholestrol.
It's interesting to note that Pizza Hut had always been trans-fat free, while the rest are striving to "transform" their food into trans-fat free. On the other hand, our Burger King was super inert and of coz indifferent towards the fuss. BK spokesman said that they feel that the trans-fats had never been an issue until recently when it was brought to a closer attention.
Well all that they could possible do is to scavenge for more alternative oils.
It's disturbing to see how the mainland ppl are reacting adversely and of coz violently towards Zhang Ziyi. I wun say she is a fantastic Ace actress, but then again, to have her own countrymen criticizing her as a traitor is so demoralising. I mean, what is wrong with 3 women playing important roles as geishas in the movie? Gong Li who played Hatsumomo, the obvious villain the whole film, couldn't get over the feeling of her character after her last scene in the movie. When the director Rob Marshall called for everybody to close shop and go home, Gong Li was still there, crying for hours. The director had never seen anything like this before...Michelle Yeoh said it was not fair, coz she can't cry..she can only cry off-camera. Haha too bad lor. That really tempted me all the more to want to catch this movie. What did the director do to make this movie more touching then any other director can do?
Looking on at the riots in australia really makes me not wanting to be a racist anymore haha. Looking on at those violent beating scenes and shouting over there helped me appreciate racial harmony in singapore. But like one of my pious muslim army fren always said, it's not really racial harmony that we are talking about in singapore. It's racial tolerance. Note the difference. Harmony is a stage when we actually appreciate other cultures, and we know about the culture and look at it from an appreciative point of view. Can we do that? Not really..

Brother came back juz now and asked me if i would be interested in partnering su yan for the upcoming 8 jan concert. I thought it will be fun..but to go back to using erhu for those songs i am void of the confidence i used possesss. Esp when all the yao zhu wu qu and chun jie xu qu.. i am too used to using gao hu..and whether i am willing to part away my night time for practising and rehearsing. Ya i did ask my brother to check out the details and let me noe before i give any empty promises.
Was watching Se Diao Ying Xiong Zhuan juz now...and i really like that kind of innocent love that Huang Rong and Guo Jing had. It's melting any solid freezing heart of mine..

Juz realised that RENT is a musical staging in KALLANG now. I keep thinking that this was a musical that was put to motion picture. Karen Mok is inside this musical. I like the trailer though. This movie will be out in April next year. Would love to catch it.
I downloaded the disc 1 and 2 for the RENT OST and i muz say the songs are rock songs with broadway feel.. I particularly like "Seasons of Love", and also Tango Maureen.
I was watching Catch me if you can on vcd yesterday. I think it's brilliant movie. I have yet to finish the book..

Today sleep until so shiok and i was awaken by Pearly call to report for a temp job at Shenton Republic Plaza. 12pm report. Rushing thru my lunch. Sian.
Actually i felt that the job was a bit demanding. I have to remember so many stuff in juz half a day. I muz learn how to frank those mails, memorise the locations of Citibank,UOB,DBS,Standard Chartered, Prudential also. Kader, an old indian fellow, was handing over his job to me while he is away enjoying his leave.
One thing is that i can take some time walking through the places, slowing taking in the sight of all those skyscrapers... then again..it's a bit tiring at the end of the day.
I like franking those mails coz the machine is quite fun to use..
The cheques are a trouble lot to begin with in the day. The envelopes that are ought to be dispatch seem to a mountain load of rubbish to me. What unit trust lar, funds lar..bla bla. Basically i have to sit down there at the reception..

Told angel that i've got funny luck today. May be i should take back those words. Coz i am not supposed to be believe in luck. haha.
I got this 2-day job at shenton way, helping a company to give out christmas cards, at 6.5 per hour. I got a job for zixian at Kranji doing data entry. Ya i don't know why he wanted a job so far..perhaps it's near NTU? i dunno.
Hows the hung up video over here at my blog>? I think the dance moves are cool, (not the pink suit that our queen of reinvention is wearing) The video always lag leh. (on my side).

There is this laughable tale of a feud between 2 hawker stalls downstairs my house. The Pig's Organ warrior and the Wu Xiang Xia Bing warrior.
One fine day. A customer came to Wu Xiang and bought something, and the customer decided to buy another MEE SUA. Pig's Organ sold MEE SUA, but without any reason, WU XIANG told the customer that she also sold MEE SUA. All the pent up anger inside Pig's Organ burst forth from her accumulated lava inside her.
This tale was heard from my mummy.
The next thing that happened was indeed a catfight. Quite literally though. They actually fought right under the staring eyes of customers and other people right at the coffee shop. Both warriors were from MAINLAND CHINA, and their husbands, apparently local , stood at one side, refusing to partake in this fight of the century.
One husband was heard saying this : " Aiya, they are all china women, let them fight lor..fight all the want."
Pig organ grabbed the neck of WU XIANG and started strangling her. Woah, and the next thing was oil being poured onto Pig organ by Wu xiang. Obviously unboiled oil, or else headlines will be babbling about this.
ADULTS...or should i say fully grown chao lao adults, behaving like a bunch of rascals fighting for candies. RIDICULOUS.
Went to market in the early morning with my parents. Today my mum took a leave because of my second brother passing out parade. Times flies...(wat a cliche).... It seems not too long ago that my second brother juz got enlisted into the army, and now he is gona be posted to a new vocation now.
This was another day at the market when i actually observed how the lady fishmonger was doing her job. With that petite physique of hers, she could lift off those long heavy colossal fishes and to really swifly bring those chopper of hers down on the fish withfast and accurate strokes. She was the only one at the stall, unlike the other stalls with helpers. She helped my mum prepared the fish by first brushing off the scales, and she was actually doing all these with her eyes focusing somewhere else. I see this as a skilful profession, but i know that behind those eyes, she seemed to be so much drained by the mundane ennui job that she alone has to undertake each day. She was a bit worried that her fishes will turn stinky, and started carrying loadful of crushed ice pouring over those fishes. I always like to poke poke the fishies and i always pay attention to those that are so alive, with the gills still moving in an animation fashion.
This brings me yesterday at my first tuition with Ethel at pasir ris. Mrs wong was indeed a contemporary mother, who worked in a afternoon-weird-timing shift, with a maid, and a younger daughter Ashley. Ethel wasn't that slow in learning, juz that she seems to going through motion for the thing she is doing and she barely rack her brains at all. She can juz give you a plain answer for the sake of answering you. Oh...she is primary 4 next year. Not bad lar..she mum is pretty amiable, much to my relief.
On my way back, i passed by the fishing lake where they are pools of children and adults alike, fishing over there. I wonder how does it feel to sit down there under a shade, reading a novel, waiting for a big fish to get hooked. Interesting.

Life is packed with decisions to make. Decisions that either made impact on other ppl, or decisions that seriously changed the pathway of life, leading to a different prospects for your future.
In my life, i tried my best to avoid making decisions, yet i know it's useless to resist them. They juz come and go, come and go.
In this holiday season, no constructive plans had been drawn up yet for me to execute at all. I am juz being those typical couching potato, armchair critic, whatever you may call it. Juz plain slacking either at home, or out doing senseless things like erm..walking, walking and walking.
Today went to get 2 assessment books at 7 plus plus for my tuition kid. I muz be crazy to spend on this kind of things. But i seriously had lost touch with much their syllabus. I desperately needed something to steer me in the correct direction.
So many movies that i am looking forward to watching, yet with a tight budget.
