Sunburnt on Monday, December 19, 2005
Yesterday i had a great day in chinatown and orchard. Chinatown with Ken, orchard with Linda.
Ken and i settled down at this mac at china square, then had our lunch, and since he brought his ibook and my lap top along, i had him teaching me how to use photoshop CS, as well as exploring my fireworks software. Learn a couple of new tricks here and there. Manage to help linda salvage her mynamar pic too. Interesting.
As normal as any december weather, there is always the smell of rain lingering in the air. We kind of anticipated it, and we were glad it was short-lived. We went to indian temples, shophouses, walk around those oriental gift shops, and I also bought a gift for this coming christmas eve too. There are a couple of interesting stores selling pretty exotic ornaments here and there. Times flew like nobody's business and from 1pm we walked till about 5plus, after which i met linda at lavender.
Went to concourse, with flurry of memories i had over there. Concourse is of coz famous for selling those party stuff, sweets, especially u are intending to get in bulk of those items. Candy canes were our main objective for that yesterday, since linda were helping xiuyi to get some. Candy canes did remind me of one event that Linda and I were put in charge to orgainse in YFC. The kind of goodiie bags were have to put inside this translucent blue bag for the students. In the end, the shops all run out of candy canes. Candy canes are real hot huh.
Orchard yesterday was typically crammed with people. We went to Kino browsing books. Went to artfriend to finally got my threads, yet still void of my black colour. Thinking of making the pen for Pearly since she had helped me got quite a number of jobs ever since after my ORD. Cassandra can stand one side, as guojun will noe why.
Today is monday, a day my brother first report to his unit, while it's another day for me to give tuition to Ethyl. I told her how her name was pronounced in chemistry haha. She was super restless today, and her younger sis was the main source of distraction throughout the 2 hour i had with her. Going primary 4 next year, she still can't read the time ..properly. She nearly blew the head off me, when she kept answering for the sake of answering the questions...without thinking at all. As patient as i could muster, i tried my very best to give her the best explanation. After one hour, i giver her 5 min break, and she had a pillow fight with her younger sis Ashley. All this while, her mum was resting in the room.
Ethy was doing her working, and she suddenly said:
"Why are u smiling?"
ME: "Huh? Am i smiling? I am not lar, it's juz my bug teeth..you are not the first one who say i am smiling for no reason."
Actually when i told this to my mum, she was in her laughing fits. I meant, juz imagined that she told this to her mum :"Mummy, nick today keep smiling.."...that be will the best concocted story for a psychotic rapist isn't it... WA BIANG...
Come on..i dun smile to myself..and neither am i some silly guy who keep smiling..
So stop saying that i like to smile to myself. Get it? =P
