Yesterday evening dragged ken out to go watch movie. Before that we went pizza hut for dinner. Feel bad that he had to come all the way to tampines from jurong. Haha coz i lazy to go town. Anyway he said he don't mind also. He juz bought a lens from Mike the day before and he was taking the camera out to try it out.
We decided to catch Fearless. Before the movie, we realise that only courts is opened...so we juz went in and walked around, and there was this eye-catching hi-fi system that cost 69, Enzer brand which he was almost tempted to buy.
As usual, he was telling me of the recent wedding shoot he got for his freelancing, and how his company pays him with that meagre salary of 1500. His freelancing enabled his monthly salary to amount to 2000 which is good enough for him i think. My cousin's fren had a company which rents video cameras at quite affordable rate. So once again i give Ken the contact number lor. His client wanted him to video shoot the wedding at the cathedral, so he had no choice but to rent a video cam and ask his fren to shoot the video while he does he phototaking.
Before the movie commenced, there was this MTV of Jay Chou singing the theme song for Fearless, called Huo Yuan Jia. The song title is the movie's title(obviously).
There was this part jay chou started singing falsetto in a chinese operatic tone. Pretty unique song, though i muz agree that Huo Yuan Jia such a serious movie had been made into a hip-hop dancing kungfu show by the mtv.
Huo Yuan Jia is really a nice finale to Jet Li's fighting movies. However, it was obviously to see how much he had aged when he was acting the young Huo Yuan Jia.
The storyline is great, though i would have appreciated more if they hadn't cut the part when michelle yeoh was inside. So sad.

So tired now..had 2 days of tom yam steamboat. Shiok..but sick of it..haha.

Chinese new year eve is finally here. Yeah.

Yesterday went to take out the stitches and boy, am i glad that i feel so relieved that the last stage is finally over. To my dismay, the dentist revealed a horrifying truth. He told me my left jaw got this potential wisdom tooth that is posing a threat to my molar. He told me to come back in a month's time, when my right jaw had fully recovered. Then again, he was glad my wound healed that fast. I was kind of wearing my departmental t-shirt, from the industrial and systems engineering. There is this "personalization" on the shirt. That is, you can put watever names u wan to put on your left sleeve. So i carelessly ask the committee people to make "mightymouse" on the left sleeve. When i went to the dentist, apparently he saw the word on my left sleeve and ask me :"Hey Nick, you are a mightymouse ah? Is that your nickname?". I was so freaking paiseh. But heck care lar. Anyway, the removal of the stitches took barely few minutes, and it was done!

After that met lim teh in t.mall, walked around, then went to coffee bean to talk crap, pass her time magazine, then we headed to sunplaza park for the usual swing ride. Talk and talk and talk until she got giddy sitting on the swing. (lousy) haha.

Don't know why this year, that usual argument started again. My dad wanted to coerce me to go "ke tou" to some ancestal worship thingy, due to their "protection". His protection is obliquely referring to the lottery ah? Chey. Anyway, i dont' give in to my position when it comes to this. No means no. Don't ask me to kneel down, hold joss stick, watever things. I mean it's good enough sometimes i juz went with them to the temple and stand one side while they do the usual stuff. Not good enough? Bleah i dun care. There is a clear cut line between traditions and religions. Superstitions are closely tagged with religions while traditions basicallly are juz some cultural norms with not much ideologies fixed to it. Indeed, my dad was a bit pissed..but i know him lar, after a while he will go back to dormancy. =)

If anybody remembered, the door to my wardrobe came off some time back. So i kind of knocked off the other door. So now my wardrobe is door-less.

My mum said i was crazy, my brother said: YOu think wat? Open-concept ah?

Juz now kind of discussed with my mum again and she said she is ok with sewing a "curtain" for my wardrobe. I thought it would be nice to have those semi=opaque cloth...but my mum said if people can see what is inside then no point putting a curtain. Haha.

So now i have to look for a retractable rod..those that u can put in ur toilet to hang towels kind.

Anybody can give me some ideas where to find this rod? D.I.Y store?

Just according to the dentist's prediction, my cheek really swelled today. That is when i have to take those orange pills which helped to deflate the swollen cheek. (haha..deflate).

It was nice that the clinic called up to ask me how am i doing, and whether there are anymore blood, and constantly reminding me to keep my teeth clean.

Yesterday lim teh message me this before the surgery: Yo worm...all the best later ah..let me know how it goes...A za a za FIGHTING! <--- Angel will know what this means.

So i instantly forwarded the sms to angel, who told me that the phrase means "jiayou" in korean. A few minutes later, Linda sms me and said:

"Wa, you so fast sms angel ah, i saw her at buona vista mrt and the first word she told me is A za a za FIGHTING."

Wat a funny coincidence! And angel was wondering how linda knew that she confirmed knew the meaning of that phrase.

Finally sent out all my 10 chinese new year cards. Been years since i last did that. Too lazy ba. haha. Had fish porridge for breakfast...eat so slowly...until fed up....then drank some HL milk..and going to sleep soon...coz the painkillers are "drowsing me".

My brother accompanied me to the clinic today. 12:10: I entered inside, rinse my mouth, and Dr. Ng began to inject the anaesthetics into various parts of my mouth, mainly the right side of my mouth. The piercing pain of the the needle was still alright, and wat followed was a series of test for numbness, and there was this unexpected pain at a certain part of my mouth and the doc began to inject another round of anaesthetics. I was then blindfolded to shield my eyes from the light while he continued wat he ought to do.

All i knew was that my whole body was rigid, due to anxiety and nervous in getting the whole thing done and over with. The doc on several occasions have to ask me to open my mouth bigger. He was using some drilling tooth and i can feel the "thing" drilling away my tooth.

He was also tugging at my tooth, pulling at it, applying pressure on it....turning it...it juz felt so weird until suddenly while he was pulling at it i felt a sharp pang of pain. I "ahhhh" and he said, "Nick, wats wrong? Is it painful?"

I said: "Ahhh, ahhh.." obviously coz i can't talk at that precise moment while i am being operated upon. He injected anaesthetics once more...
After about an hour and a half...everything was done...much to my oblivion. And there i was lying on the "sofa" figuring whether my tooth had fallen off or not. Everything was done swiftly and with such agility that i was simply amazed. He displayed my three teeth right infront of me in a surgical tray, with blood all over each of them. They were real ugly....something i won't wan to see ever again.

Over that surgery, i could hear the doc kind of scolding his assistant, at her clumsiness and bla bla...but i wasn't that paying attention to wat they were discussing; after all their conversations were filled with medical jargons.

Home sweet home. The gauze was still wet with blood...and i had to keep changing the gauze, while blood simply ooze out from my mouth, like a vampire who had juz sucked dry someone.

Ok enough of the grostesque part. My mum cooked some porridge with my favourite snow fish and i have to eat in small mouthful, in fear of touching the wounds.

Next week i have to go back to take out the stitches....hopefully by then my mouth is back to normal.....and can start indulging in Chinese New Year cookies again.!

Tomorrow is the day. The day that i hope will have more or less a happy ending, ending to the torturous sleepless nights, all because of the cursed wisdom tooth. Whoever said having a wisdom invokes wisdom? Bullshit. It juz invoked pain, that's all.

Never in my life have i been into such a pain, especially from a toothache. I guess it's juz a common phase that most people would have to go through. But why does mine hurts so much more? Pain until my head is throbbing with splitting headaches, pain until i quit going for my 4pm SS lecture and decided to watch the webcast.

I took the painkillers, with the awareness that i can't take too much of them or they can cause undue gastric pains. The painkillers only helped in easing from bad pain to not that bad pain. Nothing benevolent to my aching teeth.

My mum wants my brother, or my dad to accompany me tmr, but i knew their constraints. But then again, it's pretty pathetic to go there by myself, i think. Haha watever.

After this is over, then i can settle down and start the engine of finish up my work, and in addition, tidying and revamping my small room. THere is much to clear up, despite the earlier stage of tidying them up.

Tmr i don't think i can go for the lectures already.

Since I’m a little worn out from doing my lab report, I shall attempt to write a totally biased review on Memoirs of a Geisha. Do not proceed further if you do not wish to read spoilers (I guarantee there will be many), or do not want to read unfavourable reviews (oops). You have been warned.

First of all, some background information, in case there are still some people who do not understand the previous paragraph. SPOILER ALERT! DO NOT PROCEED FURTHER! Anyway, I’d bought the book when I was in sec. 2 (that was way back in 1998), and since then, Memoirs of a Geisha has easily become one of my favourite books. Never mind that Hideo Asano, upon hearing that, showed me a totally disgusted face. LOL. I was hooked from the beginning; the story of a poor girl who rises to become one of the most prominent geisha of Japan and nabs the heart of her one true love was just about one of the sweetest things to a naive 14-year old. But of course, the naive girl grew up and realized that there is no such thing on earth, but still… it remains one of my favourite novels (I read it more than 30 times I believe). I love it for its simplicity, its prose, its larger-than-life characters and of course, the intriguing code of conduct and training of the geisha.

So when I heard that Steven Spielberg was going to direct this movie, I was ecstatic. Then the project was shelved in favour of other movies, and it wasn’t until Rob Marshall (of Chicago fame) took over the helm that I realize hey, my favourite book is going to materialize into a film! :D

But… the casting has left me disappointed. In the beginning, Maggie Cheung was supposed to play Sayuri. Then Zhang Ziyi was chosen, and the other lead roles of Mameha and Hatsumomo went to Michelle Yeoh and Gong Li respectively. I was flabbergasted. Zhang Ziyi as… Sayuri?! To be honest, I don’t really like her for various reasons, and I didn’t (and still don’t) quite agree with the idea of using Chinese actresses. Besides, those who have read the book would think the cast is far from ideal. True enough, all 3 actresses are beautiful and talented, but… in the book Mameha is described as having a perfect, exquisite oval face, which is the one striking feature about her beauty. One look at Michelle Yeoh and you know she doesn’t fit the role. And Hatsumomo! Where do I begin? Hatsumomo is a superbly beautiful woman, even more than Mameha, with a petite frame and is about 23 years old. Though Gong Li is indeed lovely for her age, I would have preferred to see a younger actress in that role.

Now about the Chairman and Nobu. I have always imagined the Chairman as a kind, reserved middle-aged man who is not particularly handsome, but has a very calm, composed face. At this point of time I must say I like Ken Watanabe a lot, after watching him in The Last Samurai and Batman Begins, but he looks a little too young, and behaves a little too frivolous. Haha. As for Nobu, I’ve always thought of him as physically unappealing (with his grotesquely disfigured face and a missing arm), but with the ability to give a sense of security and well-being to people around him. The Nobu in the show is not too bad (they missed out the missing arm!), but doesn’t stand out as much as he does in the book. I guess, the focus is really on the Chairman and Sayuri, but I do think the unrequited love by Nobu for Sayuri makes the story all the more heartwrenching and lovely.

To the movie’s credit, there are indeed some characters that seemed to have leapt right out of my mind. I am absolutely delighted with the portrayal of Mother, as well as young Chiyo; they are exactly as I’ve always imagined them to be! Kudos to the casting director for finding a girl who resembles Zhang Ziyi, or maybe it’s the eyes. Other than that, the minor characters are rather forgettable: Korin, the ugly geisha (but she’s quite pretty in the show), Pumpkin (Pumpkin has a round face and a slim body, which I only saw in the adult Pumpkin) and the Baron.

Now for the plot. Generally I can say that the movie tries to adhere to the book, with minor changes here and there, but in my opinion, a few key scenes were missed out. First of all, I think it’s weird that Satsu and Chiyo (not yet the Sayuri we know) were so abruptly seized from their house in Yoroido… after all, I do think that Mr. Tanaka’s involvement with the Sakamoto family and the selling of the girls does contribute a large part to Sayuri’s resolve to make it as a famed geisha. When Sayuri first meets the Chairman at the sumo match in the book (in the show she bumps into him at a teahouse when she was still a maid), she thought the Chairman was Mr. Tanaka in fact. Also, Sayuri did have a danna, a General in the Imperial Army but he doesn’t feature much in the book so I guess that’s why he was left out entirely. And if you think Sayuri is this really chaste and faithful woman, let me tell you that she has a lover named Yasuda Akira (who reminds her of the Chairman). Wahahahahaha!

And now for the scenes that were changed, some to my displeasure. Chiyo’s meeting with her sister in the show is quite different from that in the book, as well as the scene where Sayuri charms a man off his bicycle with one look (in the book the man was carrying trays of food instead of being on a bicycle). I don’t like the part where the Chairman comes to save Sayuri and Mameha from the factories; it was in fact Nobu who does that. The Baron doesn’t force himself (or attempts to force himself) on Sayuri at his residence either; all he does was to undress her and Sayuri doesn’t kick up a fuss in the book too. And who said that the man Sayuri seduces in order to force Nobu to give her up at the end is a Caucasian?! Not to mention that the fire scene was totally uncalled for; it’s non-existent in the book. Hatsumomo eventually leaves the okiya and drinks herself to death, but she doesn’t burn down the okiya.

In all, though the show is not quite what I have longed for, it still is enjoyable - if you have not read the book before. For a fan like me, it’s quite difficult not to watch it without thinking of the book, so pardon whatever biased/unfavourable opinion I have of the show. But I have a word of praise for the show: the flow, the music, the general mood is unbeatable. The book reads like a poem, and the show unravels like a dance. It is at once arresting and mesmerizing, until one feels like one has drunk a cup of superior sake from Sayuri’s hand. Nothing more I can ask for from the director, except, perhaps, the abovementioned grouses I have. :P

Yesterday finished lesson 10am, went to print some stuff and went back home to sleep before meeting linda to go dentist at 1830.
I was kind of expect bad news but yet i wasn't fully prepared for that a bad news...that i have to make a decision between root canal treatment and extraction of the tooth next to my wisdom tooth. Apparently, it's this molar tooth beside my wisdom tooth on my lower jaw is causing the persistent toothache.
I left the clinic for a while to call up my parents to ask them, as well as seeking lim teh opinion on this issue.
On a sentimental note, of course i would love to keep my molar tooth, and yet this will mean that i have to carry on with root canal treatment which is way too costly for me nor my parents to really afford. 900-1000? It's freaking dear.
However, i have already chosen the extraction option.

The moment i left the clinic the first time to call my parents, was kind of in daze and confused of which option to choose. Thank God that at least lim teh is there..if not i wouldn't noe how to face this alone. My parents of coz feel that i should go for the extraction option.
Kinda feel scared of going thru a dental surgery...i mean for the very fact that "surgery" sounded apprehensive.

At this moment i am on painkillers while waiting for the saturday surgery to come. My mum wanted my youngest brother to accompany me to go there. Hopefully things will go well..
Wat a week this muz be.

My nemesis today struck me with his spiteful remarks again. Oh well..the scenario goes like this. There is this particular module last sem which i think is the most confident module amongst the rest. So i was telling a group of friends that towards the end of this sem, this module will be easier for u. My nemesis, as usual, retaliated with a question:"so wats ur grade then?". I said , "B+".
"B+ only ah, chey, i thought wat.."

I can't be... bothered anyway. Poor EQ =P

After lecture ended at 1600, have to rush back home, then dad drove us to pasir ris to re-join my 2 brothers who were already at the chalet. (oh ya my dad's cab is ok already, and he is driving it now, =)
Everybody was in some helter-skelter thingy, busying themselves with things to do. Anyway his actual room was upstairs while the bbq pit was like abit not that near to the room.(not too far also lar). So came my relatives, my brother's poly gals(no guys alright), and my neighbours whom i had known for 10 over years.
So i kind of helped to carry things up and down..while my parents were doing the bbqing, with the sting rays, sotongs, prawns(with salt on it, coz my brother said it tastes better), and my mum had used chilli padi in all the sting rays and sotongs....It was freaking spicy.
We had the usual photo taking session of various genres;the young, the old, the friends, the neighbours. Of coz with me and my 2 brothers.
The cake was cut and another atypical rounds of photo taking session, with that signature hand- on- the- knife- and- trying-to-cut- the- cake pose...ya u get the idea.
I am so physically drained of my energy and yet i can blog about it...woah..and today is friday the 13...but i am too lazy to see what horror shows they have on tv now.

Tmr have to wake up around 6, have to reach sch by 845, for the mentoring workshop by a blind lecturer from..somewhere. Ya somewhere coz i dunno. Then after the whole thing which ends around 3 plus, have to come back home again, help parents with the preparation for his ACTUAL big day and ...go helter-skeltering again...
The photos for today and for the tmr ones i guess will upload another ba.

Second day in school. Finished my lecture at 11am, went for early lunch, and i back to one of the seminar room in engin, waiting until 1600 before my next lecture.

The rain pounded on ceaselessly. Actually was kind of reading SS reading materials. The first few portions on the malayan folklore is still fine, when it comes to the actual history of singapore before Raffles arrive, everything turns pretty vague and fragmentary. Is like before 1819 singapore is juz really one dot, and nothing beyong that.

3pm now, an hour before my SS lecture.

Bring along an umbrella does help after all, especially in this freaking rainy season.

Juz read this interesting self survey Ronglun did on himself and i think it's pretty funhaha. One thing he mentioned was how he almost cried when he watched Finding Neverland. To all who haven watched this movie, pls go and watch. I think this is not the first time i have said this but oh well, it's really a splendid movie. I like the last segment of the movie. Freaking touching.

I was watching this Da Vin Ci code trailer, though not that informative, but i think the choice for the actors and actress as the lead role is quite alright. Tom Hanks, with his classic long-hair look and that Audrey girl, whom i can't remember her full name. She acted in the very long engagement.

I kind of find the movie:"A very long engagement" a bit dawdy. To this lim teh of coz beg to differ. I find it so difficult to believe that a girl like her actually exist. Her capability to suppress her emotions, and the clinging of hope is simply beyond any realms of possibility.

Today went to sch for juz 2 hours, a bit sian, and after that i went to change my physics tutorial group, and thereafter went to meet linda at the forum. Headed to the habour front centre coz linda got to repair her canon camera. She was hoping the repair fee could be minimal coz the warranty period had expired.

As usual, we were in our crazy mood, especially with that hunger pangs we had while waiting for her turn at the customer service centre. Oh ya.. we were hungry and started to self-entertain ourselves, with silly things like hallucinating the digi cam to one baby. Talking to it...doing CPR on it coz it's spoiled..scolding it and threaten to throw him forever into the canon repair centre, and never collect it again. While we were doing all these, i guess those ppl behind the counter could have easily spotted us haha. Well we don't care..we keep babbling nonsense....keep talking about anything that is unrelated to why we are here in that place.
Finally the lady told her that her digi cam could be some software problem and might be able to be repaired free-of-charge. The chances of paying anything could be very low..which is a good news itself.

Then we headed to macdonald for lunch coz she is in a hurry to fetch her Burmese fren from the airport..so after that we headed back home.

I had wanted to bid for my 6th module coz my timetable for this semester is a bit slack..so i have bidded for the Biophysics, colour and vision. Hopefully it's a do-able module.

My first physics lecture is awfully boring..and i shall go for a jog at the reservoir now =)

Juz came back from tampines with lim teh at the coffee bean, as usual goofing around, with occasional some serious chats about what we gona do with our life.
Isn't it so true that frens juz can't be too close? I am sure alot of us experienced that in one way or another. May be because under constant exposure to each other means under constant chances for attrition, with more allowances for each other's "guai pi" to surface out.
That may be a situation that all of us have to go through. We guys deal it differently from gals. Gals feel disturbed, hurt, chagrined, upset, while we mainly juz shake it off like an irritable fruit fly on ur banana.
We are not infallible, thats for sure; there are times when our insensitivities shot out at people around us and probably that is done to our oblivion...
All i can say is we juz need to look at these things from a totally different angle of view. Sometimes on a pragmatic level, we ought to class frenships into various levels. I believe one is acquaintances, one is soul mate, one friends on a common goal and interest level. There are times when frens become acquaintances while there are times when frens become soul mate.

So...for me i hack care one haha. Can't be bothered. =P

Apologies to Ronglun that i have yet to figure out his blog 's template problem.

Kinda initially felt angry at my dad. He got into an accident again. Not doubt it's on a rainy day. But as some of you all might know. My dad kinda drives recklessly... and he didn't bother to tell any of us exactly wat happen. Dun depend on me for initiatives.

I noe shouldn't be angry..but why come at a day when all of us are preparing for my brother's bdae chalet?

And i dun understand why my mum keep scolding my brother about him holding the bdae celebration in a chalet, and not at home. Since he had already made up his mind, let him be lor. The main concern was the transport coz my brother wanted my mum to cook too. And the problem is..i dun see how the downtown east chalet could be any bigger than my house hehe. But i guess in the end still have to support his decision ba.

Friday i push away my cca's recruitment drive to go for his first day of celebration. Saturday..i might have to go for the workshop for mentors by a blindman, from 9 -4pm..so i am still wondering how to go about..sorting out the priorities.

Today went back to school for BP mentoring meeting. Kind of appointed to be the assistant co-ordinator for geylang methodist primary school. After the introduction of henderson secondary, there left only a few of us back in geylang methodist.
Then we started to discuss about the bp mentoring t-shirt design, as well as the recruitment drive. We had a workshop by a blind speaker next saturday too. After the appointment of the new committee, we start to chit-chat while waiting for the canadian pizza to arrive to satiate our hunger haha. It was Songning, our president's treat, coz he is leaving us on the 19 for SEP to denmark. USP guy. Anyway we got a new acting president and vice president, all nice ppl.
As usual our chat will always revolve around module bidding and academic stuff. After chatting with Jimmy on the bus and mrt back home, feel so much better for this coming semester, coz we share pretty similiar resolutions for this coming sem. I also went to purchase the maths textbook which was priced at 21.7, since i was in sch ma.
There was this Funkamania organised by Nus CAC. I guess the groups were all from poly ba, they look too young to be undergrads. SOme of the group were like so....cannot make it. I might not be an expert in judging them, but trust me, the four of us there shared same sentiments about this group which obviously danced in a lethargic trance. Not dance, it's trance. Jumping here and there ma chiam like exorcism of emily rose.
Feel so tired after reaching home..but dun feel like sleeping yet. Sian

What a waste that my ktv kah kee is not free today. Nonetheless, i spent large of my afternoon today in tampines, walking around..seeing alot of real temptations which i strongly resist. Saw a greal deal of nice clothes, great cd (Bananarama Drama). Was hoping to get a small wallet to juz hold cards, coz i think those cards in my wallet is making my wallet too bulky already.
Had macdonald for lunch, had this FAN-tastic burger. I think the rice on top of the chicken fillet taste like those yam rice. I dun like it all..taste so weird to me.
Saw POPULAR selling guest book, initially thought of getting one, and then design the cover for my brother's upcoming birthday chalet, but in the end dismissed that idea coz i think it's a bit too exaggerating.
Tmr is my bp mentoring AGM, at YIH function room, after that still got pizza to eat..yeah. Initially wanted to go for this publicity director, whose sole responsibility is to maintain the the bp mentoring web site as well as maintaing a blog too. BLOG...cool right? However, the word publicity director, means that during matriculation or recruitment i could be real busy already.....
Juz now was so tempted to go rent a vcd called "A walking dead man"by sean penn also. In the end too lazy to get down the bus haha.

Guess wat, Bo Bice's debut album is so much better than Carrie's. That time i was at HMV listening to all the tracks while waiting for Ken. The only thing is that the songs are all almost the same genre. But it's so darn nice to listen for chilling out on some weekends, esp in coffee bean.

Congratulations to myself for successfully completing my part-time assignment. This means that sch and lectures are juz right at the corner.

Today knock off at 4pm. Met Pearly for lunch today and she treated me to Banquet, since she got the member card. Banquet food are always marked higher than average food court food. The food served there are pretty average in taste too. Pearly talked to me alot of her personal life today. I myself know very well that she is a SPG, but how out is she in the scene i am not that sure lar. But as a divorcee, I know that it's a terrible scar etched inside her life. This is compounded by the fact that she is still paying the debts of her ex-husband. She caught her husband having affair 3 times. I wonder how could any woman tolerate this kind of nonsense. Oh well..

She never had regular meals, which is the main reason why she often had gastric ever since she was young. No appetite, she always says.

She didn't eat, and she in her usual self, keep babbling and talking, while i was eating my fish slice noodles. Then Pearly suddenly stared in a certain direction in disbelief. I followed her stare but couldn't tell wat she was staring at. I asked her "Oi, wat happen?" There was this queue to the fish noodles stall right next to our table. Along this queue there are 2 guys. One apparently taller than the other, and Pearly kind of told me that she saw one of the guy tucking and pulling at the pants of the other, if that is not gross enough, the next thing i saw was that the shorter guy was putting his whole hand on the bantak of the other guy. Oh my goodness.

I kind of told Pearly off for asking me to see this kind of YEW scene that could have easily spoiled my appetite. Yucks. Wat a lunch.

4-January. A day before my bdae.

After work met Ken at Marina where he treated me for dinner at Changing Appetites, the so-called modern jap restaurant. The food was alright, not to mention those sinful brownies we had. After that we walked around marina, a big place where we can get easily lost. We went to Earz, the interesting cd stores, which selled used cds, new cds, as welll as the latest ones, in different colour labels. I bought 2 cds which one of them i used to have the casette tape(Gloria Estefan: Destiny) and the other one is my primary sch fav album(Madonna:Something to remember).

Juz before we parted our way to different directions of the mrt, Ken passed me a gift he and Mike had shared. It was a Shirt bought from Espirit. My first thought was : Espirit mainly gal stuff right, until i recalled that orchard got one outlet that has alot of guy clothes too.

Reached home and took a look at the shirt, and i think it's nice. Happy. One less shirt to buy. Tmr hope to knock off from work 2 hours earlier to meet my family for dinner. I have no preference for the venue to eat, so i leave it to my second brother and my parents to decide. =)

Time now is 12:03 , turned 22....older than any of mates ... and i am always the first .. count that into my blessing. =)

Juz got an email that i got my SS module. Evolution of a global city state. =)

Still need to get a voucher for my second brother 21st birthday. Still thinking of getting Metro or Kinokuniya. Every year i always got him the gift that he liked very much. This year should i juz stick to vouchers or think of something that he will definitely like? Last year i got him Jamie Olivers culinary book which i noe he had wanted it for somet time. He sms me and asked me what i wanted for my birthday. As you all noe, my brother and I are pretty str8 forward on our birthdays. Our birthday are so near, so we juz asked each other what we wanted to have. I told him i wanted a wall clock for my room. Guess what his reply was? It was atypical response from him. "Huh, birthdays can give clock meh?". Oh well i told him to discard all the superstitions aside and juz get it hahahaa. Oh well. I am like that.

Sleeping lor..

Today went to bugis street for the second time in a week with chris and then bought a new pants from there at 35. Finally had my objective of today done. To get a matching new pants for the shirts i got the other day.
Bounce into my mum, cousins and my aunts. Wat a freaking coincidence haha. My cousin was trying out this jeans and my mum asked me to go help him see how the jeans looked. My mum was saying my cousin always need his mum(my aunt) to go with him to shop for clothes coz he doesn't noe how to or doesn't bother to go shopping.
Bugis street is as usual packed like sardines. Saw this comfortable jeans which i liked very much but in the end gave that up coz i got many jeans already.

C.K Tang was one place i never like to go to shop for clothes, but that chris wanted to get a shirt from there..so juz go with him lor. C.K Tang sale is on, but the clothes there are too high-end already. And i dun like to shop there too.
Had a bit of sushi for late lunch, then went to return my vcd, then headed back home to watch BAI JIA LE. I think this home furnishing show is really intriguing, and fascinating. The show gives us much inspiration for any home decor and D.I.Y skills that we might need to possess in the near future.

Today woke up around 11 plus. Called angel to drag her out, and on my way there meet her around her house to rent another 3 vcds.

1.Assasination of Richard Nixon ( This show sucks big time)
2. Batman begins (this show wanna burn it)
3. Dodgeball (for my youngest brother to watch). I have watched it 3 times.

Lim teh juz sent me a file which had this detailed analysis of the movie of Narnia. I think it's really interesting how the Narnia was such a manifestation of the Gospel.

Bought UNO cards from Toy s raus today. The cards were not those classic ones which angel possessed. The design on the cards were new and different from those old ones. After that went POPULAR to get some dvd-r to back up my mp3s, as well as some cd cases.
Back home, and watched 2 movies at one all, Dodgeball as well as the Assasination of R.N.

Juz need a good sleep.
