My mum always says i have this great affinity with kids. Dunno why. My tuition on tuesday this week with Ethyl was one that really made me feel so sad for the two sisters. For one, their parents are hardly at home whenever i was there. Her mother was actually having guzheng lesson during my tuition timing and their dad is always overseas working.
I was in the midst of teaching Ethyl when her little sis said she saw daddy's car downstairs. They went to the window and started to staring downwards and agreed that it was their dad's car. After some time, they found that their dad took too long a time to come up and started calling him. His dad in the end went to downtown east with his colleague and left his car in the carpark.
5 minutes before the ending time, Ethyl said, "teacher can u read us a story?". I was like ok lor... since i was tired, and when i am tired i will be in this cranky mood for nonsensical stuff. So i kind of goof around with them. Making stupid actions they really made them go into hysterical fits. Girls at their age can really make those shrieking sounds that it's beyond any decibels tat ordinary person can endure. I read in all 5 very short stories to them. It's really fun to them laugh so hard, fun to see them enjoying life right at that innocent moment, when nothing seems to be bothering them at all.
Ya and in the end they asked me to go see their fishes at the balcony...and pointed to me their favourite Xiao Hei, small blackie. Erm...that kind of reminds me of my army encik. That was the nickname we gave him, Xiao Hei. Coz he really barks like one black dog. We often called him a shapeshifter, one who could interchangeably transform between human and dog, a black one. By the way he's an indian. Indians makes good disciplinarian. Seriously...if u noe what i mean. Remember mrs Sundram. Wonder where is she now?
