Ya and so i have received that letter about the money, have you? If not better panic coz the government dun wan to give you!
Come on, wats that big hoo haa over the money.? Being happy and excited is one thing, being paranoid that everybody has "the letter" and you don't is a terrible kind of stress you got urself into. Ok so what have you guys got? I dunno. 900 for me is good enough i think. =)
What is disappointment? Disappointment is when i set aside time to watch American Idol and to my dismay it was a hell of a performance today. First came Lisa, the 17 year old gal who sang the rendition of "Because of you" by none other than Kelly Clarkson, the old bird for American Idol. Like what the judges had said, it was a wrong choice of song she had chosen, first because it's too risky to choose a song that had been overplayed over the radio. For the fact that people are so used to listening to it that people and of coz the judges are craving for a special treatment to the song, and not juz a "cut and copy" kind of feel. Secondly, Lisa is a great young contestant but she doesn't have the sonorous voice Kelly possess juz for that song crafted for her. In the end, it was obvious Lisa struggle with some of the notes and she doesn't carry off the charisma of that song very well. However, i do hope she will stay for another week.
The series of performances wasn't that good either. Katherine (BOO), Mandissa (BOO), Taylor(BOO). Not that i tend to follow the sentiments of the judges or watsoever but the three of them really didn't meet that mark today. Katherine singing "The Voice Within" by Christina Aguilera. Her treatment for that song sounds freaking weird. Yes i noe you guys wanna bring some novelty to the song, but NOT in that sense. The song started at weird part also, which on the whole sounds so abrupt. I mean come on, Katherine Mcphee, you are so talented, so well trained, choose other songs lar. "The Voice Within"? No no no.
I am not going to talk about that grey-haired Taylor, coz i dun even noe that song he is singing and for me personally i didn't really like it thats all.
Now came Mandissa....was really looking forward to what she is singing. Ok nothing wrong her singing gospel song ..But...but.. that song she chooses didn't really accentuate that impressive vocal range she possesses. Ended up it was juz a normal kind of singing for her, no climax to the song, but the song is a great uplifting worship song.
Guess whos the best tonight. It was PARIS. She sang a rendition of "work it out" by beyonce knowles. It was MARVELLOUS. Was it coz she was being compared to those who had chosen wrong songs? Perhaps. But she was really great. It was funny to see her dance like beyonce coz she look a like super tiny mini beyonce. Very cute. =)
Now the competition is getting more interesting. Black horse emerging? =)
