Today my boss passed me this small little box with my post-sticked name on it. Was wondering if it was some voucher? Haha yea i can dream on that. Juz a stack of discount coupons. The basement 1 of Raffles City is called the Market place. The discounts come from the shops at the basement 1. Most of the shops are shops that i never patronise in my entire life. Like natural source? some restaurants there...etc bla bla. So if any of u guys plan to have some dinner with ur the other half and needed some discount, pls let me know..dun wish to throw this away =) Today i spent my day as usual wandering around, yea, juz like when the hungry ghost festival is around the corner. From wheelock, to scotts shopping centre, to bugis, ..etc. Eventually had my lunch in bugis, at one of my favourite hawker center. Basically this 3 month holiday is really turn me into a rather hawker-savvy person. All the real nice good in chinatown, geyland, paradiz, the 24-7 places bla bla. 1.I realise that if u really need a good chilling out places and don't wish to travel far, you can actually go down to Siglap center. There is a Coffee club express with real nice desserts, next to it is a Cafe cartel, then some restaurant, then finally a Haigen Daz cafe. Further down the road is a starbucks...and one more cafe i can't remember wat. 2. It's about 2am and you wanted to find some cafe to chat, talk, sipping coffee? I think Mr Bean might be a nice place, which is right opposite Paradiz. Another one could be the Phil Steak House opposite Bugis Junction. This alley behind Bugis Junction sure have alot of its nice eating places, cafes and etc. The lounge next to Phil Steakhouse. I chose to order juz some blended coffee when i went there. Quite cheap compared to other places. These 2 places operate 24/7 i think. 3. It's the durian season man! Yea, good thing i have a few biker army frens and they always like to go there to eat. For me, i really can't take that much you know. Feels rather heaty the next day. Breakout will then be imminent. Geylang got 3 prominent stalls with the tables there, and each table got this big basket for u to throw the seeds. Some even sell u the coconut drink..etc. I suggest if u are going there to bring a bottle of mineral water. Well..if u go to the real GOOD stall, the taste is really heavenly! Be ready to spend around 30 bucks... 4. There are a few nice things nice about mud pies..yummy. They are so sinfully delicious... NYDC always have one of the best mud pies not juz because of the variety they have, another one of coz is the Coffee Club Express which has won some award. Also, we have the new one at Marina Square..selling some Japanese dessert...if i am not wrong the name of the restaurant is Changing Appetite.. 5. Talking about cakes... lim teh and i are always addicted to the Chicago chesse cake. In addition IKEA got this delicious cake which they sold over the counter at the first floor. I have never bought it back home, but having eaten there, the cake is simply crunchy and delicious! yum. 6. Any idea that if u were to rank the most inaccessible shopping malls in town? Mine would be Tanglin Mall, UE Square, Great World City. Thank God that i finally found a new tuition in pasir ris once again. Teaching sec 3, combined chem/phy. 25/hr. 1.5 hour per week. Good enough. =) Saving up for 3 things to buy now: printer, 1 GB memory stick, wireless mouse. Let's juz see what the coming PC fair ought to offer.
