A monday always means yet another week ahead... I was going to Temasek Holdings today and passed by the underground passageway. I was walking past a girl when a guy in front of us started to asked me:

"Hey are the both of you all together?"

I was like "Huh??". Almost immediately the gal started to mumble:

"No no no."

The middle-aged man, apparently some insurance guy or some guy doing some survey then said to me:

"Ok ok i am talking to her." After which i promptly walked away.

Hmmm so weird. And this reminds me of this incident i had when i was outside the mrt on my way to Tampines mall to meet my fren. This super young gal, tap me on my shoulder from behind and tried to ask me do some survey of hers. I say politely no no. Then she started to chase me from behind...and believe me it was quite a distance, coz she even cross the traffic light! Don't ask me why, but i started to run a bit too..until she finally gave up.. Oh man..wat is this??? Silly me.

While my boss was signing my timesheet for last week, he started to ask me how come i always leave so promptly on time. Erm..i only have to smile away...coz i don't think i can give an answer to that question. I mean come on, if u ask me to OT of coz i wan..if i have nothing on. If not i juz go lor..i don't have to sneak away ok =P

Yeapie..finally this movie is going to be out soon..it's out on the 27th July! =)

Hopefully the ending for this movie is better than the cliffhanger in "The Village". Storyline..don't ask me..all i noe is that this woman is a "narf" who lives in another world..and creatures from the other side is determined to bring her back..another "narnia"? Maybe..

With the courtesy of Xiuting, i manage to kapor this pic coz i find it rather unbelievable in embracing the fact there is a flood in Novena mrt! Jus take a look at the water that seemingly flowed down like a waterfall thingy and ppl in the mrt open umbrellas juz to shelter them from the leak. Wat a scene huh? Nothing is so perfect in this world afterall..

There are always some reasons why i have to go down to Eastpoint. Trust me, the reason can never be coz i wan to go there and shop. Obviously there is nothing there!

Today went down there becoz Ken told me he is queuing up there for the Miss Singapore World 2006. At first i'd thought that my memory muz have failed me. I thought that Miss Singapore was juz over? Not until i realise there is this Miss Singapore WORLD. Yea the WORLD word is there... and the champion is supposed to represent Singapore as a tourism ambassador...some sort of an iconic representation of Singapore.

There are few nice ones, and definitely there is this eye-catching eurasian who confidently wooed the judges with her charisma. Today wasn't the finals of coz..but juz some prelimary rounds with some small little awards.. and believe me..the awards have a very...corny name to it.. something like the most beautiful legs award, and miss dazzling eye award....While ken was busying taking professional shots with his bulky digitial camera, i was like snapping away using my mobile phone. Good enough lor. I stood there for 1 hour plus juz to accompany him there to wait. Didn't noe cameramen muz queue up to take shots one hehe.

Let me juz grumble abit about Singapore idol...as far as i am concerned personally, i think last night's performance only showcase a single talent from Mathilda D' Silva. She started off the night with the over-sung aretha franklin's "Chain of Fools"...not with that quacky donald duck voice of coz. She is the best out of the rest..but good enough..Pretty disappointed with the Meryl's rendition of "I turn to you", one of my fav songs by Christina.. and here i am thinking she muz have sung well to be predicted by ST and other magazines. Booo to that RJ gal. Anyway she is booted out already.

Yea read about those criticism hurled at Jacintha. I think she really deserved it. The comments she gave can be given by any body you can grab at Bugis Village. She give short and often nonsensical remarks which are of no professional contribution to the whole talent-seeking show.

My fav singer in this whole competition thus far is him on the left. Hady!

Today went to have lunch at Suntec Food court with my colleague zhou. I was queuing up for Fish sliced soup when a flying cockroach dropped down from those ventilation vents above. The cockroach landed on a young woman's long hair and seemed to stay there for a while until she ruffled her hair. It quite a big one. She shrieked and the flying cockroach started to fly around..scaring the hell out of the gals around..but it was a super gross scene to witness a flying cockroach...

Don't know if you guys have went to the STOMP but i personally find it to be quite an informative and entertaining site. Esp the star blog, coz some of them are quite hilarious. Not to mention those transcripts of some court cases. My new addict.
By the way, Ju-Len on left mentioned this in one of the issue of why local gals tend to go for the Angmo...
Angmohs have an easier time here when it comes to acting cute
You know in my office building area, caucasians are a common sight. There is no sighting or watsoever. There are juz everywhere. Sometimes they are juz big u noe..and then they seem to hover above the gals they are talking to. Yea i meant the singaporean gals. Did i tell u about the Gelato ice-cream incident? I was like buying ice-cream and they were 2 angmo guys standing next to me, apparently staring at the weird looking ice-cream on display.

Hey bro, look at those tits!

This was what one of the angmo had said..and the gal who was serving me the ice-cream suddenly grimaced in disgust...

What's with the teens nowadays ah? Bashing, stripping, video-ing and posting on the internet? This really sounds absurd. The worse is when the parents of the victim had decided against blowing up the whole matter by reporting to the police. Why why why..

You should read the reason behind why the assailants bashed up the poor gal..something to do with condom and staring...it's damn dumb and insane.

What's with the parents anyway? Girls are now involved in public bashing? Unbashfully showing their faces in the video, not even feeling any pain while kicking the victims? Aiyo, parents ah parents...where are u...

I always believe that the blame should be on the parents. I may not have seen everything, but so far i have seen a clear match between a parent's behaviour and that of the child.. I think i have already mentioned a fair share of my uncle's case, when he married this Indonesian lady. The kids, one p1 and the other p3, spewed strings of hokkien and occasional vulgarities when they came to my house for some gathering thingy. Sigh. The kids even doodled on my sofa! Ughhh.

Anyway tmr is going to be my another dental appointment at marina square. I think it's fun in going for dental-hopping. Ever since i got the nus dental insurance scheme, everything is free ma..so might as well juz go check and wash teeth whenever i have time lor. So tmr my appt will be at marina square 6pm, after work. Hope everything wil be painless hehe.

was freaked out by the movie last night..

.....

Haven't been so freaked and disturbed by a movie for such a long time...may be it's because of how real these creatures are identical to those in the game..

There are hilarious parts too..like the nurses on the left..Why funny? Coz their big boobs are distracting and they were like doing some dancing-like thingy. The whole cinema were filled with laughter.

I am not going to give too much spoilers..but let me assure you Nc-16 should not be the rating of this show...should be at least m18 ba.

If you want the link to all the creatures' wallpaper/pic, here is the link:

http://www.sonypictures.com/movies/silenthill/characters/

Overall this is a splendid movie, really held me rooted to the seat for that 2 hours plus. Though the plot really makes no sense, with a ridiculous ending..but the process of watching the whole movie is really making me sick to the core.. Kudos to the actors and actresses inside. I love the climax towards the end of the show! Thanks to the computer generated creatures, it really makes this whole film one worth watching!! By the way, i really as if i am playing the game in the whole movie..

Does it ever occur to you that Silent Hill had been inspired by a real town>? Not the gory creatures of coz. As you know the Silent Hill in the movie has this underground mine fire that had been burning for 40 odd years. This fits exactly the description of a town in Centralia Pennsylvania. It also has this underground mine fire that had been going for for 40 years. There had been engineering students who had gone there to try to think of ways to stop the fire but had failed. The idea of an underground mine fire kind of fascinates me. I mean..can u imagine that underground there had been fires going on for years and years? It's like a burning hell thingy. Sounds creepy huh?

Today is a saturday..and it's rare occasion that my dad have the cab in the day. So my parents dragged me to the Bendemeer market with them. My parents like the Yong Tau Foo there..so it's of no suprise that all of us were having that for breakfast..kind of too spicy for my stomach early in the morning :(

So my mum today was buying the food for the steamboat at home tmr. Tmr is father's day..and my mum said we could juz have some steamboat at home instead of eating out. I guess cold war between my parents is temporarily declared over. Thanks for all ur concern dear pals.

How many of you will buy clothes from market? My mum does..and i kind of commented that she is really entering auntiehood. My mum as usual retaliated with the very acceptance that she is already one auntie. So i kind of took an impromptu pic of this market store...and i muz admit that not all of the clothes are deemed "auntie-wannabe".

Lost the momentum to sleep after waking up so early..so i am glued to this blog..boring.

Anyway..the pic on the right is the slippers that my brother bought for me..Ok lar..feel guilty that i am complaining too much..it's not so bad after all... I mean my youngest brother have to point out to me that it's really unusual that he bought things for us. LOL. $36.90 for slippers...kill me and i will never buy!

Find this site interesting! It's poster contest for Silent Hill!
http://images.google.com.sg/imgres?imgurl=http://www.sonypictures.com/movies/silenthill/postercontest/assets/D19_100R.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.sonypictures.com/movies/silenthill/postercontest/download_art.html&h=846&w=1052&sz=332&tbnid=he3pTxEvCKh2JM:&tbnh=120&tbnw=150&hl=en&start=15&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dsilent%2Bhill%26svnum%3D10%26hl%3Den%26lr%3D%26safe%3Doff

This poster is interesting becoz i remember this exact scene when i first played this game. It's quite a creepy game because of the sound and everything. And the creatures are really..weird-looking, nothing i have seen before. The resident evil can never match it. I remember passing by the cemetery also, with the thick fog and everything..

So, when the papers mentioned that this movie follows exactly according to the game..i am quite looking forward to the movie, though i am super lousy in the game. =)

Today saw a rainbow outside the glass window of my office. My colleague pointed out to me the rainbow and i immediately took this pic down. =)

Not an eventful day today..pretty dull...brought my lap top to play but still cannot connect..

Today sinfully bought a scoop of Gelato icecream after my lunch to eat. The chocolate mint is always my favourite, follow by the coffee and mango. Yummy.

Thursday, another day to the looming weekend liao..
This morning sent a document to Holland Village..and believe it or not, this was the first time i was exploring Holland V. Previously, i always passed by the place in bus.. So it was pretty fun, coz the shops there are pretty exotic-looking. I delivered a document to the Party City Pte Ltd. In fact it's a shop which sells partying stuff..like wigs, maggots(fake ones of coz), balloons..etc. So after the gal at the counter signed off and chopped my log book, i juz look around the shop lor. The gal then had this puzzling look on her face..like a postman is forbade from shopping for partying stuff like that. Since i am here in buona vista, and there's nothing to deliver after this, might as well jus linger around lor..

Saw a 2 storey Coffee Club while waiting for bus 200 to get back to the mrt. But it is situated out of nowhere..

Today is tuition day...and it was my second lesson with him. This guy and his family really resembles my family sia. The way my student talk also freaking resemble my younges brother. So i start to ask him if he plays MAPLE STORY when he is free. He was like shocked in his face that i knew maple story. HOWEVER, that is if he assumes that i play the game, which obviously i don't. GUNBOUND may be.. but not that maple syrup game. I rather have that with pancake..and not playing it on computer. He is quite ok with his subjects..juz need some drilling..totally the same situation as my brother lor..

Today i was being another kind good SAMARITAN by helping PEARLY my job agent to ask if any gals interested to take up an admin job in paya lebar... So i first call angel, then xt..then i dunno why that as i flipped through my contact lists in my phone, i juz called Xiuqing. Xiuqing told me that she is currently looking for a permanently job rather than a part time one. She asked me to call Meiqi. Machiam like transfer call like that right. Too bad cannot transfer call but i have to call Meiqi. I think she don't have my number or she is juz too speechless that i will call her. So i have to say "i am zhongxian" like twice then she realised that it was me. So Meiqi was the final candidate for this job assignment and she is waiting for confirmation of the job.

So that's the episode for today..yea. If the job offer had been for guys..i would have plenty of frens on my list to call. lol. Guys easier lor, gals are fussy :P

While i was despatching some documents within Raffles city tower itself (internal despatch), i came across a document for this company: NEOPETS(ASIA) PTE LTD. Ladies and gentleman, pls tell me that this company has nothing to do with that neopets we all came to know. I mean NEOPETS(ASIA)....u mean what? It has some headquarters? It's some big corporation which manages the NEOPETS' living expenses, managing the users' funds? Come on. Can't be right.. Ok enough of my crappy shit, but seriously came across this company. May be if i juz drop by their company, their receptionist will be dressed in some dragon costume>? Cool huh.

So bo liao mr nick went to do a research and find an astonishing website:

http://info.neopets.com/presskit/compback.html

This link kinda narrates to you the history of NEOPETS..lol you should go read.

Juz an excerpt from there:

History
The website, www.neopets.com, was founded by British college students Adam Powell and Donna Williams. The Neopets website initially went live on November 15, 1999. The development from a simple website into a viable business took Neopets, Inc. company founder and CEO, Doug Dohring, just a few short months. With the guidance and expertise of an experienced management team, Neopets, Inc. developed into an operating business by April 2000 (following its February incorporation), and reached initial profitability by July 2000. During that same period, the Company brought on the artists, writers, programmers, sales and support staff, and many of the additional senior management that currently comprise The NeoPets Team.

In just four years, the Neopets website has grown from operating on a single server to over two hundred servers currently. The site peaks at just under two gigabits of bandwidth each day (the equivalent of approximately 1400 T1's), and generates over 20,000 new account registrations daily.

This is a Chihuahua..not NEOPETS!

I still don't get the idea of how come my brother bought that slipper...

I guess i have no right ground to complain since it's a gift from him. The one he initially asked me to choose has now become a slipper.. :(

He told me the slipper is worn for going out one. The problem is, other than swimming, i don't see why i should wear a slipper to town or shopping, instead of sandals...

A pair of slipper juz looked too weird...i still prefer to wear slipper to go downstairs or nearby... HOWEVER, my little brother kind of persuaded me that it's nice enough that he bought slippers for both of us. K lar credits to him lor. :)

Shall start today's entry with this picture of a Chihuahua inside this box which obviously were used to put the POLAR cakes. The owner had sent this pic to TODAY newspaper and it'd been featured. . Kinda cute and peaceful.. isn't it?

Today at work was pretty hectic, travelling all the way to Ayer Rajah crescent, which is only few minutes away from NUS. City hall to there. When i had alighted at the bus stop, i still have to travel about 10-15 minutes of walk to my destination... In the end since i have to travel back to east side from Buona Vista, i might as well juz leave my stuff in the office first. I reach the office around 1800, half an hour past my knock off timing. I dun care, i wan my OT pay hehe, even though it's juz a meagre 3.25. However, never underestimate the power of accumulation. This is not the first time i have OT. Cheers.

I have to go Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore twice today...boring place...it's in Novena by the way.

I realise that the internet cafe at Stamford House is called Chills Cafe. No gaming stuff, juz a chilling out place, with WIFI/wireless, some finger food..etc.

http://www.chillscafe.com.sg/about.shtml Think it sounds nice..perhaps not for gathering, but for rushing of projects? Or a real nice place to study and surf internet>.? Once a while..not too often i guess.

An excerpt from the book i am reading:

I remember when you see President Clinton get up in the morning and go for a jog with his Secret Service guards to Mcdonald's. Advertising Age said his infamous morning jogs were worth millions of dollars in free publicity for the company. He would eat so much fast food that he joked, "When my daughter started preschool and she was asked what her father did, she said that he works at Mcdonald's." He also had Domino's pizza delivered to the White House. An intern named Monica Lewinsky was given the task of ferrying it to the Oval Office. As The New York Times later joked, that was one "fateful pizza".

Also, reading the book really makes me grateful for not being obese.

Today, my colleague and i was like suddenly talking about the idea of "entrapment" because of the recent apprehension of the young trainee doctor. Were the CNB officers really entraping him? If that's the case, is the young doctor really a culpable criminal or a victim due to the persistent SMSes by the undercover officer to "bring the drug out for fun"? My colleague who used to study in canada told me that if this case were to present itself in the court, the accused will be acquitted... Then again, he did have the drugs wat..so..?

Lawyers run away with money, Doctors drugging themselves..these are jus black sheeps, yet it reflects that sometimes successful with a bright future is not a lifetime warranty to happiness. Somehow or rather, the lawyer and doctor are still not satiated. They crave for something more...a risk which backfired at them.

Hey superman is out soon at Omnitheatre! Who wants to go there to watch? Hardly a soul i guess. Freaking far right? My fren works at the sci center. Everday he has 5 free entrance ticket, and the omni theatre is at half price! You can take a look at this link:

http://www.science.edu.sg/ssc/otmovie.jsp?artid=7321&type=8&root=0&parent=0&cat=78

So some of you guys might have seen this urinal? So guys, are u offended to pee inside this suggestive urinal? Apparently Malaysia is pretty notorious for their foul smelling toilets. Take a look at the comments of some readers. Interesting. Most expressed disgust, as well as a waste of taxpayer money. This indeed doesn't solve the problem. Does it?

Everyday have to pass by this Swisshotel stairway and i was wondering, if each round of staircase got 2 paintings on them, does it mean that the rest of the floors all the way to 3o plus floors all have the paintings? What a waste of resources. Anyway dun you think that this stairway looks like some prison stairway, like those in torture camps. :P (ya as if i have been to one right?)
Saw this gross air-con advert in TOday newspaper today. That is a bacterium by the way, not any housefly :P
THere was this artist performing an artwork today in Raffles City, so i kind of took down this shot. He painted with nippon paint and kind of painted it upside down. When he flipped it over, then i kind of realise it was Elvis he was painting.

Today after work rush down to pasir ris to realise that my student had forgotten that i am coming down for tuition today.. so kind of a wasted trip there. I borrowed a book from the pathetic pasir ris library today. A super crappy book with tons of statistics..but funny enough to make me laugh at some of the descriptions.

Kind of understood who angel referred to in her blog of the death of that fren. I guess life is really that fragile isn't it?

A colleague of mine was in the pantry with me today, telling me about the woes of being a family man...as how exactly one defines "success". What is success to you? So since i was slacking with my job all done, i was listening to him telling me about the values he had been imparting to his 3 daughters. Virtues like spendthrift, filial piety and bla bla... Kind of a boring topic to hear anyway...ma chiam entering the age of unclehood...

Today bought a small container from ART Friend to contain my saga seeds. I think picking up seeds at the st andrew's cathedral sooner or later will become a protocol for me to follow...

My mum cried while complaining to me about my dad.. You know, sometimes i wonder how come my dad always failed in making my mum smile the way she used to...

Could he have been a failure in our species, failing the QC..?

I loath him, hate him...for all his indifference in contributing to the family.

I hate him for making my mum so upset...hate him for shouting at my mum at the coffee shop...

I hate him for never returning my mum the full sum of the dental insurance.

I hate him for turning my mum into the sole bread winner...

THere are so many things i hate about him, yet i remember that he used to provide for me. THat is the only reason i remember about him. Not much of any fatherly love thingy.

Sigh..if only my mum can be happy again..

Ok today nothing exciting at work, coz basically the later half of the day i got nothing to despatch. So i was like playing minesweeper or solitaire on my lap top, since the network there is secured. Not that my life is really that good lar, juz that these few days really got nothing much to despatch. My working principle is simple, as long as something to send out, i will juz go and sent out lor. May be thats the reason why my boss thought i am hardworking. Seriously i am not hardworking lar. Juz that..i dun like to procrastinate. I mean sometimes they have document that isn't urgent and can send out at anytime, but somehow i rather send it out now then later, you noe what i mean?

It could be because the despatch guy before me was really a utter slacker. So may be under such comparison they are proned to think that i work hard...the truth i do slack..haha.

After work today went to the PC fair myself. It was really super darn crowded, and bounced into 2 of my ex recruits doing sales there. They become so fat until i can't recognise them...sigh. it's a pity that they dun maintain their fitness. I finally got my wireless mouse today..and it works on all kinds of surface..and the ease of moving the pointer on my screen really brighten up my evening!
